hehe.....here is my entry for a Darwin award....both for myself....and the SS battery...although obviously I'm still here so I didn't win that time...

Driving 85mph in a new G6 (rented of course) steering with my knee, (hey...I used to drive a 52' tanker, split shift/10speed...I'm a profesional ) trying to refill a carto....and dripped directly in to the battery. oops! I immediately turned it upside down and let it sit that way for several hours.....I think I still have it and it still works.....

yep Angus...what I figured....and makes perfect sense....social means social....not business :) no problem....it's what a suppliers forum is for.

Obviously better quality than the no name batt I flooded. I tried to flush it w/ water then dry it overnight in a bag of flour. Still no good. I'm gonna have to get a dead 4081/dse103 atty/carto to try and take it apart. Anyone have a dead one they want to PIF?

"a thought about the cutoff time and the draw.....this is just my opinion....so if someone else has a different idea I'ld love to hear it.....but I am wondering if the added length means you have to use the entire cutoff time to get the same hit....or amount of nicotine......where with the shorter batteries you dont use the entire cutoff....so it appears longer on the PB???? I will use a stopwatch and see what I come up with."

this might be the reason that some of us feel the hendu performs better. if you are used to short draws then maybe not enough air gets moved in the pitbull

which IS the trade off.....I know it's the same with the KR8's I have used....the XL's have alot harder of a draw than the shorter KR8's. But although for Bills purposes with the PB these comparisons dont mean much....they do to me....and I know they do to you guys.....if you have a 250mah KR8 compare the draw on it to the draw on the PB.....I'm talking about a good quality KR8 with a vacuum switch....and I find the draw on the PB much easier. In fact it's why I quit using the XL KR8's....I do like the long lasting time...but the draw after using the SS is just too tight for me.

Ok... well it never hurts to ask about a manual ... but I am sure that Bill has his reasons.

As for comparison... I am comparing the PB to a pink SS (which I am sorry to see go.. but hoping secretively that Bill has something up his sleeve), a Hendu & an 808 reg. size battery.

RFLMAO....yes he does....it's the Pitbull. :) Don't worry....the colored batteries come and go.........but once in a while some smartass comes along and hounds a vendor long enough and obnoxiously enough that they cave in just to make you go away. But I didn't go away did I,Bill ? And I did get my pink batteries.

I used my pb out of the box yesterday for a little over 5 hrs. The vapor production had dropped off enough that I figured it was ready for a charge. I put it on the charger today so I could keep an eye on it. ( using a usb wall adapter ) I can see how some people might be confused about charging; on my 510 usb charger the light starts out red and blinks blue periodically. It will blink blue more frequently until it turns kinda purple then stays blue. ( notice I say "blink", as in a second ) On my pb charger it was blue when I plughged it in, then it turned red and the battery gem blinked a few times then stayed on when I screwed it into the charger. After only one hour ( remember I used it for about 5 hours yesterday ) it started to turn blue for a few seconds then back to red. It would turn blue for longer periods more frequently then turn red again. At one point, after about 80 minutes, I noticed it had been blue for a couple of minutes and I was going to unplug it when it turned red again and the gem blinked 5 times, It has done this a few times over the last 20 minutes so I'm gonna assume it is done.
I understand where Bill is coming from when he states that batty has its own charging circuits, but mine is displaying both traits. the charger is alternating between red and blue AND the batty is blinking every time the charger turns red, so which is it? I can understand what you mean when you say your "normal" customers are not as savvy as ECF customers LK, but if we are confused by the charger maybe your "normal" customers are as well. You may be honoring warranty on more dead batties than necessary because your customers are not charging properly.

I'm gonna assume my batty is fully charged and see if I can get a puff count this afternoon.

Your right about it being confusing to us at ECF....but that is only because we are comparing them to other products they behave differently. And virtually all my non-ECF customers have multiple batteries...as well as two chargers...one USB and one AC......so it's easy to figure out rather they have a bad battery or a bad charger. And I tell them the same thing....ignore it unless you notice a problem with the batteries performance.

again...that is why I will be offering a special deal on batteries. Without having another battery to compare to there is just no way to figure it out unless you have a multimeter and can test the charger itself.

where btw are you people getting those awesome banners????? That link you can post :)

oh yes Raven....you are definately first in line......but the problem with you is...you actually have a real life.....so I doubt you could put the required time in to this job. LOL!

maybe I should rephrase that.....you would need to be willing to make SmokeStik your real life. Is that better?

lol... I meant it more in the way of being the next smartass to bug the crap out of you & Bill!!!

Oh... btw.. I am now charging & timing the PB on a wall charger verses an 808 vacuum activated reg. size battery on a wall charger... will put fresh cartos on both and test side by side.

Oh wait... you found my life... Hubby is only home for a few days ... but I am here with you guys... Lk... would you mind sending my life back to me ASAP! Overnight if you will! I could really use it back! Sorry, that was just to good to pass up!

I am so sorry!! I didn't mean to ruffle any feathers... neither LK's, nor the good folks at ECF!! It's just that LK has been working so hard that I was only trying to come up with a way to make things easier for her, forgetting that everyone has rules to follow... not to mention the fact that I'm still new here and aren't aware of all of them yet...

lorikay13 is well aware of what a social group is. :) Are you aware of the military definition of what a volunteer is? Plus....see below for my explanation of my job. I do not believe I would be allowed to even participate in a social club like that...ECF rules to keep suppliers from using the forum as an advertising tool. And it's a good rule. So I will need to ask an admin....maybe Angus is sniffing around and will address this issue....but I personal do not have time to do it. One of you would have to do it. And then what to do with the social group when the test is over....which btw....it will be soon....I'm pretty sure ECF is not going to want to set a precident of allowing temporary social groups for the purpose of individual suppliers to beta test. I could be wrong....let's see what the admins say first. Please do NOT try and start a group until you have been told it's okay with Admin.

My comments were directed more at the other members, since even the person who started the group I belong to (who shall remain nameless...ha!!) wasn't aware that they also had a forum until recently... And I would never do anything without getting permission first!! Again, I plead ignorance...

Suppliers are allowed to participate in social groups, just like any other member. They just can't discuss their business or products in them. They really can't be used as a tool for a supplier to organize a beta test.

Sorry.

I totally understand!! My bad... I sometimes forget that LK is a representative, and that we ARE in their forum right now... It was an honest mistake.

Don't sweat it. If the rules were different, it would have been a very nice idea. :)

And sometimes, you just don't know what is possible until you ask.

Well I realized today that I can't count puffs when I am at work. I tried it again and kept getting interrupted and losing count. Also comparing the PB with the Hendu is not a good idea either. They look too much alike. I kept picking up one thinking it was the other one. I have tomorrow off so it will be easier to keep track. The first night I charged it when I went to bed so I didn't know how long it took to charge, but yesterday I put it on the charger and noted it took 2 hrs and 35 minutes to charge. I refilled the carto with Freedom Smoke USA Wyatt Earp. It was easy to fill and is working great. Screwing the carto onto the pitbull was easy till the last couple of turns. It gets tighter, but no problem seating it all the way down. Tomorrow I will try to count puffs on the PB.

just got up from my nap. led on the charger was still red, but the tip of the pb was out. went to unscrew it and the charger light changed to blue, which damn near blinded me. at any rate, railin away and all is fine. i'm keeping count as well. forgot to mention, i too am having minor issues with the threads, but nothing too bad. the technical side of me thinks the tap used to make the threads might've been a tad off or just barely the wrong size. the switch just stuck on again as i was typing, but it hits the cut-off and everything's fine after that. i'll update again in a little bit. thinkin about switchin over to the carto i filled with cinnamon.

It took at least 2 1/2 hours to charge the PB this morning. I connected the charger to the wall adapter. the CZ started flickering at about 2 1/4 hours. I lost track of time then and came back and hour and a half later, and the CZ was still flickering a bit- it never went totally out. The charger also had blue flashes. I'm trying it again on the wall charger, and will try the usb computer port next time.

I got 152 puffs from this charge. I’ve been taking 2-3 sec drags and I haven’t counted the primer puffs. It sounds like some of y'all aren't using primer puffs, but i seem to need them to get full warmth and flavor. The vapor diminished on about the last 3rd, but no change in flavor (cinnamon). I haven't had any trouble at all with seating the cartos on the battery.

Thanks for the chance to get a discounted pink or gold battery! That'll be great. I also like the idea of the separate closed thread to answer specific questions and issues.

Well I thought I was multi quoting some posts but guess it didn't work.

Again, I lost track of puffs as well since I had to work this morning. I did find though that I can't stay with it as I really don't like the pre-filled juice. What is the best way to get as much of the juice out?

lk.............you described it to a T when you said there seems to be little burrs on the threads which is making it hard to screw on the cartos.

Oh, when I said it seems to have a tighter draw than other autos, I did not mean that as a bad thing. I hate a real airy draw. Makes me feel like I am just sucking air. It's funny though that some think if is a tighter draw and others think it has an airy draw.

Today's results:
10:53 start

11:43 30 puffs

1:41 65 puffs

3:57 120 puffs

6:30 150 puffs- dead

Noticeable decline after 120 puffs. Vapor was a little more solid today. Will recharge and retest tomorrow. I will note that today I used primer puffs and got more puffs than the first day without primer puffs so I have to agree it takes a few charges to get it to full output.

Ok, got my AC adapter in the mail today... Whew!! It even had a nice little sample of Chocolate VG with it that I can't wait to try!!

PB is all charged up and I put a brand new carto in. It still took a good 2.5 hrs. to charge with the wall adapter, maybe even a little bit longer, and the LED only went out for a few seconds at a time. In fact, sometimes the light was red and the LED was out... sometimes blue... but it didn't act quite as weird as it did when it it was plugged into the computer. And at least I don't have to unplug my WiFi connection to do it!!

What I don't understand is, that I got relatively the same # of puffs on the 1st 2 charges (165 & 160) even though the 1st time I was going to the cut-off every time, and on the 2nd I was vaping like I normally would... at about 3 sec... and it also didn't seem to make much difference in the amount of vapor produced...

But considering that I got 150 hits out of the carto before I topped it off, and if I was someone who didn't have a bottle of juice handy, it probably could have gone a little further... they were pretty close to running neck and neck!!

This all makes me want to do a puff count on my other stuff after we are finished... LOL!!

PLEEEESE! Don't start that trend. lol I can't wait to stop counting puffs. It puts me into a flashback/work mode from when I used to be a DVD tester. If everyone starts comparing vapes, I may have to give up the forum. lol (nah, not really) :)
