10 Bonuts in the white A2 cart, filled the bonut hole 3/4 with scrap 400 SS mesh and topped it off with a piece of loose nickle wool from an old atty. Works great with the vertical SS wick.

I'm going to try this. If it doesn't work I'm sell mine. Because It doesn't compare to the BFG or the Line. If this works half as good as the bonuts with a atty it will be great.

I've been using my A2 Classic for a few days now, very impressed with the simplicity of the design and the ease of making new coils. I have made 2 coils so far - the first I used 0.2mm wire, and although I got a reading of ~2.2 Ohms it still took a few seconds for the coil to heat up. I went back to 0.15mm wire and the coil is working well, heats up instantly. I think I have more experimentation to do with coil-making.

I have the Bulli on a Precise+ 18350. I have made the wick with an extra piece to tie up the loops (and point them towards the cart/mouthpiece. It's early days, but I find more wick is better, as a small wick turned black quite quickly (probably drying out and burning the liquid).

I would like to try a stainless steel wick next, will need to order some mesh. I found with a smaller glassfibre wick I was burning (or clogging?) the filler (the surface hardens), would anyone know what type of filler is in the RN-4062 carts so I can purchase replacement material? Thanks for the info and pics provided in the thread, it has been very helpful.

I ordered from mypvshop the medium tobacco and just dumped the juice. At 1.99 for 5 you can't beat the price.

Do those come with mouthpiece?

Bj, which of the coils are working out for ya? Got some mesh. Wanted to try. But read the whole thread and found two type of rolling. One is the V, the other one is the vertical. Which is better and can i use #400 superfine mesh for the wick and for the bonut that are to be placed in the white cart? Thanks in advance. :)

I have one with the V and another with the vertical and really can't tell the difference. My problem was to be able to get 2.6/3 ohm 32awg between the post it had to be a V or vertical. I need at least 8 wraps to use 2 1/2" of wire, I don't know how others do ir with 4 or 5 wraps and say they have 2.8 ohms, the probably have 1 ohm in their meter and connection and their coil is 1.8 ohms. The vertical after extending the post is a little easier because the wick is smaller and fits better, the V you have to be careful it doesn't short to the sides.
The #400 works great for the wick but does not hold much juice so it is not good for the storage area, the bonuts from pipe screen is still my first choice. I also tried just one bonut to cap the original fluval and separate it from the coil, this also improved the original setup. Try different ways and you will find the best for you..

I just wanted to jump back in here and say that I really love this A2. It literally saved my vaping experience. I was getting so frustrated with the EGO T attys always gunking up and losing taste and vapor etc. I was buying attys all the time for 10$ or more that would last a few days before needing cleaning and then If I was successful with cleaning them they would work for a few more days but then would deteriorate quickly and need to be cleaned again and usually the results after cleaning the second time would not bring it back to new again.

With the A2 I get the same new atty results over and over again. I found that if I rinse the wick under hot water every other day and then squeeze it gently with a paper towel to dry it, then do a dry burn to get the gunk off the coil.... its like brand spankin new again. I get tons of vapor and throat hit and flavor like I used to with a new EGO T atty. This thing is great and is the best money I ever spent on vaping. I'm so glad I got it, I was getting to the point of almost giving up and I was still smoking a few cigs a day because of the frustration and lack of pleasure with the whole ECig thing.

I'm finally able to avoid cigs altogether, I still get the urges once in a while and especially after a good meal like on Thanksgiving. But I was able to hold on with my A2 leading the way. Making new coils was a little scary at first but when I made my first one I thought Ok that wasn't as bad as I thought. My only problem was I couldn't see it even with my reading glasses on, but I purchased a magnifier and now making coils is a breeze. I also purchased a MM and I experimented with different coils and found that 4 wraps instead of 5 works better for me on my EGO batteries. I'm at 1.8 to 2 ohms. I ended up buying this from Harbor Freight...Head Strap Magnifier with Work Light .... and it works great. I can see the coil perfectly now and making one is a breeze.

God I love this thing. I was sure glad I was able to get one of these from Centin because I really believe that had I not got this I would have quit vaping out of frustration and would be back on the cigs.

Thank you all for your input and for sharing your ideas and mods. I love this group of good people here.

Just thought I would share my experience so far with my A2. Now my next move is to make my own juice as I'm getting quite tired of poor quality juice and vendors not having the small amounts of juice that I do like in stock. Not having what I like on hand when I want and need it will also make me want to go back to cigs so that is the next hurdle... and once I get that down I will be good to go. I'm also looking at getting a VV mod because I think that is the next step for me, and the Lava tube looks like a good unit at a good price.

Thanks again guys and gals you don't know how much I appreciate it, especially at this time of year when my cigarette cravings are probably at their highest.

Dave

12.7 vin from wall supply, 6v to the coil.
Coil reading 3.9 ohm actual 3.5 ohm my meter has a .4 ohm shorted reading.
Coil 8 wraps 32awg at 1.1 ohm/in on vertical 1/2 in long #400 ss wick.
This wick can go up into the normal A2 cart, or the mod that uses the whole tube as the cart, or my bonut cart mod.
The last pic shows my mod adding a bent piece of safetypin wire to extend the (-) neg post making it easier for the vertical wick.
This is a vaper machine!!!!!

I cut the threaded part off an A2 cart to use it as an adapter for drip tips and it has the added advantage that you can still snap the white part to it and use your collection of drip tips as a standard A2 cartridge or with the bonut cart..

Ok. So.

I ordered a BUNCH of the RN4062 to try because my classies swap did not come with any. For the cheap price, I ordered 50. Should last a while :). Problem is, the USPS put them in a lock box, and the key they left for me to open it does not work. I will have to wait till this weekend. So I have them, but they are "stored" about a block away. Outside. Daggnabbit!

Changed the extension from the neg post to the pos post and it seems to work even better. Tried to post a video showing the amount of vaper this is producing but it won't accept the format of my video and I don't know what format to use. This is 6 wraps 32 kanthal for 2.8 ohms. The vertical wick mod is awesome on the A2.
