First off I am glad you are okay and that you knew what to do good on you for that. On a less important note, but still a point to make I do hope you can get your money back and apply it to a safer mod. I might just have to start a "crack open" on any reviews I do on devices like this to see if they have the same flaw.

Awesome that you shared. The best resources we vapers have now is each other.

Full Recall!!

Time to Talk Damages. Carpet replacement isn't cheap.

Eeeewwww. I agree, Smok is fully responsible, the recall is several days after the event (may have even been a factor), there are damages beyond the PV, and it was no fault of the user.

But being a foreign company, and I don't think they have any US presence, if it goes to court may cost 10s of thousands and years for a settlement including damages.

I would hope Smok would do the right thing, leaving lawyers and international court cases out of it. Best of luck if you pursue this mrdee3, glad you, family, and loved ones weren't hurt.

Smok has done the right thing. Congratulate them for quickly addressing the issue and making the recall. Some manufacturers would bask in denial.

I'm very glad no one was hurt!!

Sometimes you can test and test until the cows come home, then one incident points out the failure mode that was missed in testing. Let's all remember this was the one incident out of thousands and thousands of uses of this faulty product.

I had the same incident back in April....should I contact the vendor? I have moved on since then....

If you still have the groove then yes. I suppose you could let them know anyway. They should have received a recall email from Smoktech but if not then hearing from you may alert them to it.
