About the same as you. Lights and cable still on.Right now we have downpours and gusts of wind. Not too bad. Still have my cable.

Hope you all are still ok this am. Winds & really heavy rain came through my area about the time you two posted during the night. Not as bad as it might have been.
60 miles north of Tampa.....been watching the weather channel like a hawk.....Emergency services has called 3 or 4 times to warn of possible evacuation. My first hurricane.
I didn't realize just how many of you all are in FL. Hope this morning finds you all safe.

Try some of the 1.8 ohm coils. I wasn't a fan of the Naut X til I got those and the 4ml extension. I liked it better than the orig Naut because it had more airflow when wide open. It is also what led me back to trying sub ohm tanks so for that I am thankful. Both of my X tanks are now put away in the stash for my roomie if/when she destroys all the nautilus bases and hollowed out cage tanks I stocked up on, or when/if we can no longer get coils for the orig nautilus.
As Semiretired said above, this was a light one. The problem with that (as far as people who've only experienced Hermine)...is that they tend to not heed warnings, if/when there's another one coming in the future that's higher than a category 1. They don't realize how much worse they can be and have been in the past. This one was like a sneeze compared to Charlie, Donna, Andrew, etc.!
Yea, I have seen many a people rescued from their roof because they did not heed the warnings...
Yep, and mobile home park residents, and others in not really strong structures...not evacuating until it's too late to do so.
IMO the news media is partly responsible for people not heeding warnings for the next hurricane...because of their news reporting before, during, & after a sneeze like Hermine. They (news people) are so overly dramatic, etc. when reporting about even a really small one and the damage caused by it, that many people think it really WAS a bad one! I hate it when they do that!
Guess they've counted on getting a lot of TV viewers for their broadcasts about it, and when it becomes at most a cat. 1...they're left with trying to make a mountain out of a molehill. It gives the wrong impression to those new to Florida and experiencing their 1st hurricane.
It's a perfect example of The Boy Who Cried Wolf story, except there might have actually been a puppy...instead of nothing the first few times, like in the story!

Hehe - you just reminded me of something from about 50 years ago.
We lived in a trailer park in Kansas so when a big tornado came through - we had to evacuate. Our evacuation point was a cellar of an 150+ yr old home about 5 miles away.
Well the tornado tore that house apart - 3 days later we were finally dug out. When we got released we went to our trailer park to check the damage - not one thing touched. It was totally intact... Dumb luck... LOL...
While I use drippers mostly these days, I think the Aspire BVC tanks/coils were the absolute best of the Vivi Nova style tanks. I've got a dozen or so of them and a bunch of BVC coils stashed away. If all I had to vape with was those Aspire tanks I'd be just fine for as long as I chose to continue vaping.

Some limbs did come down in back, but nothing to write home about. 2-3 inch branches about 12' long or so. And of course debris all over the place. Yes, this could have been much worse and so glad it wasn't .

That is one thing I truly hate about living in this area (middle Midwest).
My mom used to tell about seeing a skein of yarn corkscrewed into the ground after a tornado had gone through the area she lived in.

The most scared I ever was was in 1985, when Kate came through. (I lived in South Georgia then) My ex and I lived in a rinky dink trailer with our 5 month old baby. We were going to go to the in-laws to ride Kate out. We decided to take a quick nap and didn't wake up in time. We woke up to howling winds and rain. There was no way to leave. We had not finished putting skirting around the trailer and could hear it rat-tat-tat-tat as it spun in circles, cutting holes in the trailer. I was sitting in the bed, leaned against the wall (no headboard) and I felt the wall pull away. I looked down and saw the ground! The only thing we could do was pray and wait.
When it was over, we went out and saw the holes in the trailer. Although we lived in a rural area on many acres of land and trees, it had been cleared out near the trailer and we had left 3 trees by the house. They were all gone. The next door neighbor had a nice brick home. She had a row of pine trees going across her roof. God spared us for sure!
