Way more vapor and throat hit then I will ever need. I reduced nic down to 2 mg and still too much.

Here ya are jj i managed to pull myself away from call of duty lol, you can see a colour dif in the legs they look greyish on the pic but in certain light they look dark blue and the coil wraps are really light tan colour ..


these coils are basic but so soo Yummy


What program or free download are most of the guys using to edit pictures?? i want to try it.

Great build. My guess is those wraps tore off when you jammed the mini screwdriver in there to adjust. I hate when that happens. I have been using a smooth mandrel for adjustments but when I squeeze the whole coil it tends to shrink the coil ID on the ends then I can't get it through. I'm also finding that track or caterpillar builds are not as flavorful as other builds. Thoughts?

I agree. A fused Clapton is both easier to build and more flavorful.

No, no gurgle, no dry hits, jus tons of vapor that I chock on. As far as it's being PITA to rebuild, ones you have made all the supporting tools, it is really easy.

Went for a dual clapton build for the weekend

32G over 26G claptons, 4 wraps over 3mm pin 0.33 ohms.

Coils look great. Grab a piece of kanthal and wrap in between to get the staged.

24gTi1/36gKA1 2mm ID 7 wrap fused spaced claptons.

Meant to use 2.4 mm. Grabbed 2mm screwdriver and didn't even notice until I went to wick it. Came out to 0.07 ohms [emoji33]

Further to my dual stove tops in the Subtank Mini. I've now done dual hurricanes (flat ribbon stovetops). This build is 0.5 width nichrome 80 ribbon wire at 8 wraps with initial wrap around a 1/16 drillbit. Reads at 0.6 ohms and is wicked with less than a dime sized piece of cotton bacon v2 on each side. Don't think I'll even build differently again. More flavor than some of my buddies get off their rda devices. Impressed some guys at the local B&M as well. If you have a Subtank laying around definitely give it a shot.

Next time I re-wick I will attempt a closer pic. Essentially first wrap goes one direction and last wrap the opposite so I can mount in the RTA unlike when you make stovetops for an RDA and the leads are perpendicular to the coil.

The 24/4xlight twisted 30g/24g alien track I threw in my hobo when I traded for a monster v3. And yes she works. Glow shot by the guy I traded with:

New in my Petri:

dual 28/38 aliens, but I think one of them may be 28/36, not too sure, I was wrapping a bunch of aliens at the time haha. I made these off the end of 16" alien sticks I've been making. So it's very possible one of these coils has a 36g wrap but I'm like 95% sure they're both 28/38g. All N80 .15Ω on the Rolo. They vape great at 110w

during install; I had to keep the alien with the defect wrap for myself because I can't sell it.

Edit: they're both 28/38g. Here's a size comparison to 26/34:

5:3 wrap ratio...didn't realize how tiny they are til now

As requested some more shots of the ribbon wire stovetops in the Subtank Mini during a re-wick. This build has the inner lead come out more pronounced from the coil so it may be easier to see what's going on.

It might not be the prettiest, but it is DEFINITELY a "working wick and coil setup". This thing has both great flavor AND vapor!

Framed multi-strand Clapton (lightly hammered)
30x40N, 2x26N, wrapped in 40N

I'm using iPhone 5s. You have a better camera than mines. Hold the phone about 6-10in away and zoom in till the coil is clear. But don't try moving your phone as much. It should sharpen up as you zoom in a little. But if it gets to fuzzy move the phone back a little.
