Slip are you hand stitching the outer wire? I tried to stitch with 36 tangled, 32 bent and ugly. I don't know what size wire is good to use.

Yes.
How many cores, what materials and gauges did you use?
I'm not sure if i stated in the post with those pic's which i used? ..it's a shame the quote doesn't carry the post number so i can go back and take a look without having to go back page by page to take a look at what i wrote! ..anyway!....
i probably used 3x 26g cores in either kanthal or n60, but most probably n60! although i don't think there is any advantage to using one over the other apart from the final resistance of the wire!
And either 34 or 36g n80 was used for the outer braid.

Having said all this i think i know why you are getting tangle's etc! :D
When you pass the loop over the cores you have two option's, you can either pass the leading part of the loop over the top or underneath the cores! does this make sense to you?
I don't remember exactly which way is the best as it's been so long since doing this braid but obviously the way you passed the loop is the wrong method :)

Let me know how it go's!

See, i know how to stitch with lanyard. Had an idea to make a cobra style stich with 3x26 cores but what is the softest and smallest wire i can use for the outside...it has to set in like thread to lock...

just to give you an idea of what i want to do....I want to make something like this but all with wire....
I took cotton yarn and stitched it around my wires. I want a wire that I can stitch just like this...

Its to big to fit in any of my attys, thats why i want to make one all wire....

Oh like paracord braid? i've done a lot of paracord stuff, have made lanyards, bracelets and the most useful thing i've made is pacifier lanyards with a clip on the end to stop it getting dropped on any dirty floors.
I've had a quick go in the past at incorporating it into a wire build but with a lot of the paracord stuff you have to thread one length between another two pieces and pull the slack out and wire tends to curl up and/or snag and break, wire isn't workable like paracord but good luck and post your results :)

With most of the outer braids i've done i use anything from 30g to maybe 38g.

Lol....the thinner wire slip. How do you keep it from getting all tangled up?

Man Ive gone through so much wire trying a damm alien and staggered coil. How in the world you guys do it? I watched videos of Squids, ohmboys, TM's and everybody in between. Got goggles, vise, swivels, wire cutters and a whole lot of wire..[emoji16] still no luck. I dont really cloud chash or comp but I do like the creative aspect of making coils..... at first I was like what a waist of good wire but now i see some real artistic coils being created. I like it....

Oh! i get ya now! lol!!.... One way is to stretch out the thin wire so that it straightens out, you can guesstimate how much thin wire you need and pull off a meter at a time holding the spool in one hand and pliers in the other hand you can stretch it from the spool as you go! the length won't be totally straight as you'll have a slight bend between each meter but it won't tangle on you! or get someone to hold the end of a long length and stretch it all in one go or tie it, vice it to something!!
Once you have your length of wire stretched and straightened run it along the floor away from where you are building, don't have it spooled up on the floor in a bunch as that likely also tangle!
After you do a build or so you will know how much wire to pull off for each build.
Or you can buy a spool tamer or make as i did a few bobbin holders, then you don't have to worry about wire running across the floor or having to straighten it.

Here are some pics of my bobbin holders, old pic's but you can see one in work and it's holding itself onto the main wire without falling away and letting the whole thing go slack-->

And heres a pic of some 40g wrapped using them

Heres a vid on how to make a bobbin holder and if you need more info on the beads or wire that i used just ask

Here's another pic Just to keep this Thread alive, sometimes I wonder why but anyway lol
This is 38 n80 fused around one 26g n80 and one 26g A1kanthal and then paralleled with 28g ss316L
3mm if dual coil 0.13ohmsView attachment 571343
Lol I was just thinking the same thing to keeping my coil porn thread alive. This one needs to stay up too!

Groove fuse! With a ton of err's lol. Specs are
6x .5x.1mm/38g middle staple
6x .4x.1mm split out, 3ply on each side of that
28g frames, 46g fuse. The hardest thing about this is not double wrapping. And not snapping the 46g when coiling them up.

I'm pretty sure it's around a .06~ but I don't have a way of checking right now since I sent my Rolo DNA 200 to get my 510 & wiring upgraded. I'll post some pics of it when it gets back, shouldn't be too long now. I'm just stoked to have something that's not the stock 510. The beefed up wiring is a bonus.

Edit: as for a camera remote I figured out how to shoot remotely, I was being stubborn before. I like the physical feel of pressing the shutter button but it causes image wobble lol. The Sony α6000 syncs up to my phone/phones, and I have a few apps on board the camera that I can use to shoot via wifi. And change all the focus points too. Basically turning my phone screen into a point and shoot for the camera haha.

I give a guess at 0.04 :D

Yeah the remote trigger should help you big time! I'm waiting for my daughter to get a good camera so i can use it, but i have a feeling i'm gonna end up paying.
For the moment i'm happy to just take pics on my phone with the macro lens, if i'm here at night taking a pic of a coil i'll hold the mod with rda on top upto the living room lights untill it looks like i have the angle and lighting right and then my hand holding the phone is against the side of the mod so there is no movement between the two, sometimes the movement of me stood holding all this above my head gives the background a nice blurred effect.

I still haven't even had a chance to work on that ribbon i cut off the spool the other day  make the most of your free time Tom you never know when it'll all be taken away from you, i'm still busy doing diy on the house, looking after the family, so on and so forth!
 no doubt there will come a day when i can also sit on my arss for hours at a time without being disturbed
