Oh boy does that build make my OCD happy! So neat and clean! Well done!

I'm going to steal your idea of shifting the coils to the center like that, I hate not having an even amount of wick on either side of the coil with the coils offset like normal.

Thank you Sir.

The greatest thing I have found using a center post build style, is that the wick is evenly dispersed and that when I line my air hole up with the coil, it's dead on...which makes for great flavor and nice clouds.

My mentor tbev lol.. I took her tank apart and sure enough moSt of the cotton was out of the coil! Rewicked it and voila.. now my wife is complaining too much throat hit lol. So how do I fix the throat his issue on a kfl?

I wasn't kidding when I said I'd copy you, although I didn't actually rebuild because I was feeling lazy, but I did shift my coils over in my IgoW as best as possible without destroying them (.4 ohm twisted 30g) The coils aren't as close to the post as it looks, but they're closer than I'd like. When I actually do a rebuild with this in mind I think longer legs are in order.

Air hole alignment is much better now, that's always the problem with dual coils, to get both holes aligned evenly the hole shoots the air at an angle across the the coil, instead of directly at the coil like it does with the centered setup.

Much thanks for the idea!

Also have another build to contribute to the thread, .5 ohm 1 strand of 28g and two strands of 30g twisted together.

While twisting I had the wires separated a bit with the 28 in the middle. It seemed to make a bit of a different pattern compared to having them all mushed together at the start of the wrap. It's almost as if the two strands of 30g wrapped around the 28g as a core because you can't see the 28g present on the surface of the wire much at all when looking through a little jeweler's loupe.

I'm really loving the ridiculous surface area of these twisted coils, anyone have ideas for other types of wire? I was thinking of braiding some, but doubt I can get it tight that tiny. I'm too scared to try ribbon, any ideas for more fun stuff to do with round?

Feelin' a little dense here but....
The last two photos show what looks (to me anyway) like SS cable with a sleeve of XC-116. And if that's the case, how in blue blazes did you get it to bend and twist into the KF build well?

The other photos look like it's just XC-116 in the well. Which is great news to me, if that's what it is, because I've got a load of that stuff and haven't tried it in any of my Kayfun clones!
:)

decided to finally put some XC-116 into my Hcigar KF 3.1 clone today and its perfect str8 out the gate!

ya thats just a 1/16th drill bit in the middle of the xc that i wrapped the coil on.. i was able to get 8 wraps of 28g on it pretty nicely w/o having to squish the coils together much.. then i trimmed the xc down to about as wide as the base and bent it in place like classic cotton would function, held it there in place and screwed on the chimney piece as shown in the picture.. been an amazing vape so far after a couple tank fills..

one thing i did do is wet the xc with water after i took the bit out to cut it on either side because i saw the little 'shards' or 'glittery' stuff it left on my fingers then i washed it again after the cut.. once in place with the chimney on i dropped my juice on there after i dry burned it a few times and everything has been gravy..

Derp. Yep, drill bit.

I've finally gotten a repeatable build down pat for all my Kayfun clones.
It's just the method where you fold the tails over the top of the coil, nothin' special.
I'd post photos but it's nothing everyone hasn't already seen a brazillion times.

I'll hafta give the hollow stuff a shot though the next time I rebuild. Good on ya, MadLyfe!!

Wait what? Fold your wick on top? How does it get juice?
