If yr on the fence and can swing $100, I say go for it, wholeheartedly.

They are on sale right now for $99, and that puts it side-by-side with an iHybrid pure, which is my only other non-clone mod.
And it's every bit as solid. Plus you get more options for different battery sizes. He also makes a polish SS versioin, but I like the matte finish a LOT.

Couple things to consider when you first crack open the box: Mine was set up to have a longer throw, but in the spare parts bag is a brass (copper?) shim that is specifically there to reduce the throw if you want to. And I did. It's got such a pleasant, light press. I CAN stand it upright without using the locking ring, but I don't trust myself or the three rambunctious yorkies, so I always lock mine.

It's a nice, free spinning lock ring too, so it's no hassle.

Also, make sure there's an o-ring at the bottom of the atty assembly. You need to have one there, or it will leak. I discovered this the hard way.

All said and done, it's worth every penny. Now I just need to unload my iChybrid and Ikarus clones to make this purchase easier to swallow. But I've been eyeballing these since before his big move from Hawaii, so I'm glad I finally have one. :D

Decided to try the barbed wire build. Came in at 0.8 ohms, diameter is 2mm with 5 wraps. I used twisted 32 kanthal, then doubled it and twisted, doubled again and twisted. Barely got it through the posts. It's a bit warmer vape, but is equal to my dual micro coil 0.5 build in vapor, flavor, and throat hit. Not bad for a single coil, but a bit of a pain to make. Cap gets pretty warm due to the lag time, about 2-3 seconds. :D

Very nice micro coils - my approach as well ala Rip Tripper. I love my old IGO-L great performer lots of room as well as my new IGO-W3.

I feel like my igo w3 has too much air flow. Mine has more than others I've noticed. I've only tried dual coils. Quad is not as easy

Eh that's how I feel, even though I have quads in mine I'd rather stick with the kayfun or my nimbus if dripping with dual micro coils and cotton.

Yep his videos are where I learned it from. I started off trying to make the dual dragon coil, but it just did not work well. Sitting at my work desk I found a paper clip, and said to hell with it. Pulled the cotton wick out of the dragon formation and managed to get it through the coils like normal. Instantly it started hitting like a truck. I was like.

Cross-posted from the Storm A thread (if you don't have one of these, get one)

9 wraps of 28 gauge, ID something a bit less than 1/8". 0.7 ohms

And a similar build on the KFL+ clone. I recently got the nano kit, which brought the Kayfun back out of the vape drawer. Not sure if it's as good as a nice single micro, but I'm diggin' it.
