First Chimney build. I think I may have to rework the cotton. All is fine, just lacking a bit of vapor and with that said I am not a vapor hoe, more of a flavor guy. Just missing the wallop like my other regular KF builds.

Tried a similar build when I first got my KFL+, but found it took some time to fully heat up, and when it did, the vapor became too hot/harsh which sort of masked the flavors a bit. Is that a 1.8-2.0 ohm build?

Here's another vertical build in my Fogger. I found the nano coil tends to spit too much and sometimes I get juice in my mouth so...........

I did 5 wraps of 28g with 2mm diameter, came out a 0.9 Ohms. Mounted vertically with my standard cotton wicking (the only thing I can get to work in the Fogger)

A good vape like the Nano Dragon but no spitting................Win!

Wait, how did you wick that? I'd be curious to build something similar although I found a good working wick / coil setup so far. I use hollow SS rope / Ekowool with a 4 wrap 28G coil.

Sorry I should have posted that too!

Pre-boiled cotton wick......light & fluffy around the coil.......denser towards the edge + 2 rolled up pices through the wick holes, tucked under the bed.......

I just tried building my first "auto-dripper" and the Ikarus clone was the prime candidate.

Short version: it's dead easy! Seems to work better than in regular genesis mode.
Here's some photos of the process and end results:

No hot legs!

Cotton is pulled through the coil (28 gauge kanthal, wasn't paying attention to the internal diameter) and
excess is tucked underneath it and surrounding the deck.

Eager to try out a few of those new purple Efests to see if I can't get any more oomph outta this lil' dude.

how does this compare to cable/mesh genny build? do you drop any cotton into the tank? you think you would be able to run a dual coil with this? ive been wanting to try this on my turbine

I prefer a regular genesis build, using either ss mesh or cable, with an ekowool hat. That's what I've got in all my other devices.

The only reason I tried this in the Ikarus clone was because I think it has a fair bit of voltage drop. I could be wrong about that, but I DO know that I enjoy vaping this thing a LOT more when it's set up this way!

I followed instructions that GrimmGreen showed in one of the videos he posted today. In it, he said to try not having ANY of the cotton wick shoved down into the tank, juuust enough under the coil to soak up e-liquid when you tilt.

I built a dual coil autodripper in a turbine for a friend. Twin 11 wrap micros, 1/16" drill bit, and 28g kanthal. If you have wicking issues just expose the wick holes ever so slightly and make sure the fill hole exposed to relieve negative tank pressure. Its a great vape in the turbine. Best of luck!
