Tough Coil, and good batteries.
This after noon as I went to get changed to go to my parents house for turkey dinner, I say my Nemesis down in its new holder I made.

Kind of like so.
In the time it took me to put on clean pants and a shirt, I had set out earlier that morning when I got out of the shower, I noticed my house had started smelling like pumpkin spine!!
I had nothing, let alone pumpkin cooking!!!
As I sat down in my recliner quite perplexed, I heard the "zzzttppfffttt" coming from from the holder.
Quickly my hands flew to the device!!
HOT!!!
HOT!!
HOT!!
I had not set the safety on it and it had sat there for 8 to 10 minutes cooking all the juice out of the 2mil drip well!
Everything on it was hot!
As I stripped it to its smallest pieces to get every thing to cool faster, Even the batter was frigggen hot!
Fortunately every thing was okay, the coils even held up!
Tested the battery once it cooled and it was still at 3.71volts!
I am so happy I opted for good batteries!

Note to all, when you sit your mechanical mods down on the firing pin set the safeties!!

Ok, so I did a quick one (note: Taking your time makes for prettier coils :p).

Step 1: Bend your first leg in your wire, then put the wire into your pliers like such....

(I strongly suggest jewelry pliers like what I'm using here, makes bending legs and starting this coil much smoother and neater).
Step 2: Create the first (inside) coil around the rounded tip of the pliers.....

Step 3: Wrap the remaining coils around the first coil. You can either hold the coil flat on a table, or use the pliers to hold it steady like such.....

The nice thing about using these pliers is they are tapered, so when the coil is clamped in them, there will be a gap between the tips that you can use to guide you. Pulling the tail of the wire through that keeps the coils nice and straight. Pull the tail (the part of your wire that has yet to be coiled) through the tips, keeping it fairly tight and close to the preceding coil, rotate the coil around in the pliers till the tail is back on the other side of the pliers tips and repeat. And finally.....

Bend up your outside leg.

Hope that helps

Things just keep getting better :D-20g 2mm id 0.11Ω on 26650+Asmodus with rayon.

and heres something ive been messing around with..
its 3x 26g 0.2Ω on 2mm id, instant heatup :D

i havent vaped the 4x26g yet but here is the wire.. i think i may have tightened the wire up to much afterwards with the edge of some plastic along the length as its starting to look like standard twisted LoL its suppose to be a loose twist with the gaps that form when wrapped as a coil which may even happen when i come to wrap it, we will see :)

Can some one tell me how many wraps of dual 22g stovetop coils, with a 1/16 id to get between .09 - .3 ohms

sig-153231.jpg

you can use Steam Engine to work it out.

you only need to enter 3 things, wire gauge+dual or single+overall ohms required= at the very top of the results box you will be given wire length for each coil.

you dont need to fill out or adjust the id or leg length.
