Haven't tried one yet, partially because I'm loving the stovetop and Clapton coils so much. I just put a vertical Clapton in my kayfun, wicked like a carto. It's quite joyful

I am liking them. as it seems not only the wick now holds juice, but also the coil, since when you reverse wrap the flat ribbon in to it you loosen up the 4 strands of 29 gauge you wrapped in the initial wrap, and have the flat ribbon holding it all together.

I didn't take pics, I'll try to remember to do so next time I change the wick.
I used 32 gauge wrapped on 28 gauge. If I remember correctly (so many builds its hard to keep track sometimes ) I used a 2.5mm wrap, 5 wraps, comes in at 1 ohm. Doesn't blow clouds, but flavor is much increased.

It looks like it uses half a bag of cotton and a quart of juice!

I have no idea where to wick it and that might be an accurate estimate on how much youll need, After I finished it I was just oh well this will look cool andddddd.......that's it, it has no further purpose in this life, lol

Thanks. I've been trying a few different things on my Russian and most leave me wanting more flavor and was thinking Clapton but not sure how to build & wick it in this thing.
And I understand I never think to snap pics of my builds.

And that within itself is why I have over 300 feet of various wire and ribbon, and several types of wicking material on my workbench.

A horizontal Clapton works well also, that's what I had before. I only did the vertical for giggles. The benefit of horizontal is toy wick it the same way you would a macro coil on your Russian

Mutation X, 0.32 Ohm, 26 ga, 7 wraps, 2 mm (5/64). The battery is a LG HE2. Got the MX not long ago, and this is the first build on this that really brings me pleasure. First time going that low.
