Just built a stick of this: 2 core 24g/32g or 34g (decored an ugly Clapton and stretched it back out, don't remember the gauge) N80 triple stitched alien with 40g stitches.

Honestly, the most time consuming part of this was making sure the triple stitch stayed put inside the alien wrap. Total time it took was about 20min from original decored Clapton off the scrap wire to finished product.
Edit: @IonMan they don't care if you have it, they want to get the manufacturers in China with their cease and desist orders. I've been finding clones of the pi2 and giving them the company info, waiting to hear back from them. Hopefully I'll get that $500 (in Hyon products) reward. Wouldn't mind a Pugio and a mod for free lol

I know, I was just messing around. I've been doing the same, unfortunately I don't think that I'll see any of that bounty... I imagine there are allot of us. It would be damn sweet though. I'd love to build on an authentic

Yeah seriously, I've gone so far to get them the manufacturers skypes, phone numbers, locations, etc. It seems like they just want to collect all the info on the cloners and not give us our due rewards. I've given them info on atleast 3 different factories and have yet to hear back. Kind of annoying, but hell, if they do get back to me with what they're promising, I'll be a very happy camper.
Edit: and yeah Slip, Hyon manufactures the Pi2 and distributes it. I believe it was designed by the company Haus of Zombi, which is most likely a branch of Hyon.

They way I figure it, since they were willing to serve cease and desist orders on any reviewer that reviews their competition. To say the least, their integrity is in question. I doubt that they'll make good on that reward
Agreed. Glad I didn't buy that Pugio now and got a Kennedy 24 instead. And with Ivogo's Evil Monk atty, it's kind of a different design, with bottom airflow. I saw another postless atty but it wasn't patent infringement because of the deck set up. One half negative one half positive instead of the split positive going down the center.
Edit: it's called the Zane RDA. Made in the Philippines

If they weren't charging $140 for an RDA, I don't think they'd have as much of a problem. If it was sub $100, I would get one. But the quality of the "clones" that are actually out are horrid looking. So, I will likely never own one.

On topic of the thread, no pictures, but threw a new build in my Aeolus v2 this weekend. Dual coil, 24 SS316L/34 n80 claptons. Wanted to do a fused with the 24, but after doing the 6 wrap, 2.5mm, my ohms landed around 0.11 on my ipv4. Makes me want to upgrade devices to something that will fire regulated down to 0.05ohm hehe.

Thanks, but I still think 2 core stitched aliens are the easiest aliens to do. You don't have to worry about the 3 cores twisting, and the stitch acts as a guide along the cores like a Clapton kinda. I tried making a 3 core 26g alien with a 26/38g Clapton as the center core today with a32g alien, but I forgot how much tension you need for 32g...failed miserably. Every 2-3" I got another kink in the wrap.

Here's just what I've been doing today. I have changed my process somewhat on making these, and they turn out damn near perfect every time. Secret is to spin the whole length of wire at full speed. Scary at first, takes some practice, but makes those alien wraps so tight and perfect. I'm more the type of builder who strives for perfection every single time and throws coils in the junk box with 1 missed wrap of anything, so today was a good day for me. I am comfortable enough with these to mass produce/sell them now too which is nice. These are babies 6x.4/28n80/36n80 poopy pic but you get the idea.

On a different note, I think I see a Dos Equis in my future.

Edit - OK, I put in a couple attempts on this wire too. This is 12x.5 ribbon, attempted to "alien" wrap it with .5 ribbon. By the pic, it looks like I am very close to getting the ribbon to fall in line. I need to stretch the decored clapton more. Opinions?

My best aliens happen when I go fast. The triple stitched I posted I went full speed, and the wrap broke in the middle so I had 2 lengths of wire for coils and in between them was triple parallel wrapped 40g over 24g
@Superfecta_ ribbon is a fickle *****. Looks great. I have not attempted a ribbon alien, I'm still waiting on my ribbon shipment and I generally do not like working with it. I try to avoid it as much as possible because something, even if it's only something small, always goes wrong for me with it. If you need to stretch it out more, do so while wrapping the alien on the drill with the amount of tension held on the ribbon. .5x.1mm ribbon is pretty flexible, so it should be easy to do while wrapping.

Thats just so damn lazy using 36g ;) im joking superfecta if your gonna mass produce them then you dont want to go to the 38g+ really.

i got me some 44g n80 here but i dont know what to try first, maybe an alien on 28g ... hmmm i dunno lol
28g is great but with 44g try out 30g Kanthal. I'd say Kanthal over n80 bc it's a little bit of a stiffer wire. Jury duty cramping my style right now. $5 a day instead of my studio hourly rates.
