You'll likely be surprised to hear that I have actually never even tried Papa John's.
None near me. Same with In and Out Burger, White Castle, Sonic, Jack in the Box..... basically all the fancy smancy places.
I'm not sure which is funnier. Turf ordering MORE PROVI STUFF, or Lori's turkey-stuffed-doggie!

Not in my town. Great family pizza joints on every corner, which is one of the many things I'm thankful for today.

...so, I got the address where my FIL grew up in Detroit.

Looks like it would've been a really nice neighborhood. It's still a mix of nice homes if you look on Google Maps, a few around it look pretty bad though.
ETA: He will be 79 in Dec., so at least 65 years ago, because his parents had moved just before he left for college.

Tony's... We used to go to the one in Shields. Went to Dufty's tonight and got the all you can eat cod. Given the fact they have a awesome salad bar, I don't know why I can't bring myself to get the Jumbo Shrimp. It's just that their fish is so damn good...

I tried the above link, and it worked for me. It's grabbing the house number next to it though. If you type in the actual #, there is a tree blocking the view of the house, so you have to move down the street a little.
I did a "walking" tour around the area on google maps by moving along the street.
Don't go down there, DH's dad tried to take DH and his sister to show them the house, maybe 35 years ago, and the police turned him around a few blocks away.
. Told them to turn around and head back the other direction.There are a lot of crappy, boarded up places in the area around the house.
If you click the above link, it should show the empty lot next to the house, and the house is the one to the right of the lot with the chain link fencing.
I'll go see how far it is to Henry Ford Hosp. though, and will report back.

It says it's 2 miles, but I don't know why it wouldn't have had you take W. Grand Blvd. to Dexter, unless they're one way streets.
