I'm kurious about the cost of seeing ABL in Canada (Willy, BrayShay et al). I've sent a note to Aaron to find out the dealio.
Ok guys, I just heard back from Aaron.
He said that they didn't have anything to do with pricing, that it was promoted locally by Canadians. They didn't get the sort of sponsored support they were looking for, so the ticket price was higher.
He did offer up that there is a code BILLION30 for people following the film to get 30% off.
He said that it works out to about $25USD and includes the after-party, which is prolly a big fun deal!!!
He also mentioned that from everything he's seen, it looks like it will be a world-class event. The former Canadian Prime Minister is coming.
He said to thank you all, and to tell you that he's sorry. They have 12 big premiere events coming in the next month or so, and sometimes things aren't optimal.
In all truth, ABL is definitely doing the best they can and I doubt that any of them are getting rich from this enormous body of work.
I wouldn't miss it for anything!!!
