This is why I try not to drive. They know me by name at the body shop.

I'm sure your not that bad. The times I drove in Chicago scared me more than anything I have done outdoors with the exception of Mt Washington.

I didn't think I was going to survive Chicago aggressive

I've been averaging 3 accidents a year. Sometimes I run into walls and pillars so I'm not always hitting other vehicles.

C'mon, you can't tell anything ... not even for a candy bar or some apple strudel?
I can tell you that when I picked up the box this morning...

I wondered whether I had put it in there!!!

I took this tangent because of scratched gear :)

Yep, it was the scratch and dent comment. My mind went to the activity that put more scratches on my toys than anything.

I would take a Mini down there in a heartbeat but I also know it would get scratched. :p This was long before I heard of vaping or the word vaping was coined.

It's AstroTurf's fault because he said he was a scratch and dent kind of guy. He should join the NSS and get his stuff scratched up.
I used to belong to a RP&P Crew...

I'll leave it at that, and tell you that I am a Kinder and Gentler Turf now!!!

LOLz, Jim

Mt Washington used to be the windiest place on earth. When I was trying to cross the winds broke 100mph and I lost a lot of time, it got dark and snow was drifting. My headlamp batteries ran out and I got lost. I thought I was going to be buried in the snow and would be found after the thaw. I was convinced I was dead not from falling but being buried in a snow drift. It was not the wind alone but it was snowing unusually hard at the time I was crossing.

Mount Washington Observatory
For nearly sixty-two years, Mount Washington, New Hampshire held the world record for the fastest wind gust ever recorded on the surface of the Earth: 231 miles per hour, recorded April 12, 1934 by Mount Washington Observatory staff.

I hate to admit this but one of the reasons I started traveling to climb was just wrong but I was young them. I had backpacked for years then I went and did my first climb and discovered the female climbers were hot, had abs of steel, were very nice, and seemed to like me. They kind of got me hooked on it but I started off for the girls with abs of steel. :p

This is where Evods shine (yes, @Racehorse , I know...). They're regulated to 3.7. Had they existed when I began, things might have been easier for me.

But they've worked wonders for a couple of my kids. One is still using them (2.5 years later).

DP, I jsut recommended an evod starter kit in a topic where the person's dad smoked ULTRA LIGHTS, and is using a BLU.

I'm sure people will come along and suggest sub ohming to a 60 year old who smokes ULTRA lights, but to me this person was the perfect candidate for the evod rig. They dont need more coming off ultra-lights.

Simple, easy, works, cheap.......and the evod clearos are pretty much idiot proof and trouble free compared to so many other things.

Like you just said, there are things that work for certain people and have their place in the vaping aresenal. Glad to hear it's keeping your kids off the smokes. ;)

Katy Whittaker would agree. I think it's great, when I was growing up girls didn't do all the stuff they are into doing today, I think it's fabulous! I'm a big fan of arcteryx clothing, so I get their newsletters etc. every so often

Not my photograph --- this is rob greenwood's work.

I grew up right down the road from the THE GUNKS in (Shawangunks in NY) so I've photographed many of the world class climbers. I used to just bring my lawn chair and sit around all day watching the climbers.

I need to unearth some of those. Most of the people are old now LOL All my brothers were skydivers so I spent alterate weekend at various drop zones, photographing that stuff...including some pretty uh, interesting parachute "malfunctions". Thankfully none ended in tragedy but I have some good pics!!

I would love to see your photos.

I very much preferred to meet girls on trails, on rocks, and on ranches than in a bar. I like girls that are not afraid of getting their hands dirty to go do things with. Sounds awful when I type it out.
