Thanks Lex. I wish it was on Netflix. It's an awesome video and I'm so proud of Charlie for having the courage to do what he did during a time when most people put their tails between their legs and walked away in shame. He's an awesomely amazing man and now that I have been with him more than half of my life, it's me who is lucky to have had the joy to share life with him!

Thanks everyone! Our brunch today was simply wonderful. Yes, I ate waaaaaaay too much, but the Grand Hyatt on Tampa Bay, puts on one heck of a fantastic brunch. The setting is beautiful, the food is great, the service top notch. But to celebrate this day with Charlie, my brother and Sister In Law, was just awesome!

I see TO offered the story on the girl. She really was there in the flesh though. I didn't realize our photographer captured her in ghostly fashion until my dear friends here on ECF pointed it out!

Oh my, the changes we've seen. When we made the commitment to be a monogamous couple 36 years ago, the idea that we could, in our lifetime become a legally married couple seemed completely implausible. We still have much to fight for in personal rights (in many states it's perfectly legal for a gay person to be fired simply because they are gay, or denied housing), but the changes we've seen are so dramatic and wonderful, it gives me hope for future generations!

Yes, there's certainly hope for the future folks.
I know it's hard to deal with 'isms of all kinds. So many of them are ingrained and irrational. It just takes time and they ultimately melt away. That doesn't justify them, nor make the interim pleasant or just. They will all melt away.

Touching is a great word. I was so touched, I couldn't get through my vows, which made Charlie cry and there we were with a Videographer from LA's News Division of Yahoo news, capturing us blubbering like children.
