well...this is more what I was thinking about this time...

General Rules
ECF Classifieds is a non-profit platform and profiting on the Classifieds is in violation of the Classified rules.

Ummm...but wouldn't that be unavoidable in some cases? For example, if the seller bought something a couple of years ago for $50.00 that is no longer made and considered valuable, are they required to sell it for what they bought it for rather than the going rate?

I hear yea, I'm seriously considering Kabuki #6 in Ti or GMZ. What is the wick/coil life like compared to the Aspire BVC coil? Im literally clueless on this. And when you say rivaled, you mean if blind folded you could not tell the difference between the two or is the kayfun a bit better?

I'm currently vaping on a coil that's about 18 months old. All I do it dry burn and rewick when necessary.

One thing I do that seems uncommon is that I don't snip the tails close to the posts. I leave them a little long and bend them up against the posts. When the coil get really gunky, I gently bend the tails down and take the coil off. I can then soak it to clean it off and put it back on. I have yet to wreck a coil or lose any resistance doing that.

Only thing I don't already have is a propane torch. For heating the coil I assume? And is it required?

I have a torch, but it's for art projects and a bit unwieldy for close work. If I feel like annealing the wire before wrapping (which I don't always do), I use a lighter - followed by pulsing and squeezing once it's built.

You are not supposed to sell on the classifieds for more than you paid to begin with.

There are other sites, where that is not the case that are available, if the goal is to make a profit.

What if the item is no longer made and highly sought after?

Hey, I don't make the rules: no profit.

Now, you can end up with the situation where someone bought a mod at full wack, that was later heavily discounted.. sound familiar?

One person would be justified in listing it at full retail, while the other would not be.

But, by the letter, that is how it is.

Theoretically, you could have a situation where someone bought something at auction for way over retail, and then lists it for that sum. That would be a matter of enforcement: what if they could prove they paid that amount?

Ultimately, the goal is to discourage flipping imo.

How well it works? Dunno.

I agree it's to discourage flipping, but I thought I read at some point that if the product is no longer made, the limit doesn't apply.

ETA: Found it! It's very clear that profiteering is against the rules and members are supposed to report noncompliant ads they see - however...

Per j0ker;

Reportable instance will include:
  • Products that are currently produced.(Doesn't matter if in stock or not)
  • The asking price is more that $10 above the retail price.

Non-reportable instances will include:
  • Products that are no longer produced.(Doesn't include items that are produced but not in stock)
  • One-of-a-kind items.(This would be either self made mods which are allowed within reason or custom made from a supplier)

I haz a confused with this, so if ProVape is selling the V2.5's for 29.99, does that mean that anyone asking more than 39.99 can be reported? What about the not clearance ones that are like 50-60$

At this point I would send the buyer to the ProVape site. When they are all gone, I would ask j0ker.

Oh, so discontinued, or one of a kind, the sky's the limit?

Interesting.

I think the limit would be what buyers are willing to pay. How much could someone ask for a pristine Mamu or variable power Woodville?

I'm thinking I must have must have a wee bit o' luck in me today. In the past couple of weeks me and the Mrs. have been remodeling the man-cave. As a result, some 20-odd years of junk (I call it collectibles) was boxed up and placed in the garage. While digging through the boxes last night looking for rebuilding tools/materials I found a chunk of bubble wrap surrounding an unknown object and secured with duct tape. Out of curiosity I opened it and found the below. There was no drip tip on it but was otherwise brand new. Anybody happen to know what version it is? The real scary thing is I don't remember buying it. Must have been an unopened gift at some point and stuffed in the box by my dearest.

Looks like Kayfun Lite Plus V2. The engravings on the bottom have a production date which was part of the re-design for the V2, which was actually a minor set of tweeks like the slant on the top cap and the o-ring at the top of the chamber being placed inside the area that leads to the drip tip.

This is a perfect atty for you to experiment with re-building! It is among the easiest to build on, offers great flavor and it's pretty easy to fill. I could not recommend a better atty for you to try out. I HATE the Kayfun 4, it has about 49 moving parts and is a pain to clean and assemble. This one you have is bullet proof, and there's a reason this is the most cloned atomizer in existence.

If you don't want it, PM me!!!

Going to take your advice and learn to build on it. Once I get the basics down and do a serious comparison between rebuildibles and my Kabuki in regards to flavor I can move forward if needs be. I was able to find YouTube footage that indicated it was a KFL+ what I could not tell was if it was V1 or V2. Going to build my first coil tonight. Thanks for the info!

It's absolutely a Kayfun Lite + V2. And a great RBA to boot!
