Orlando makes my heart hurt.

Mine too. I can't even bring myself to turn on the news. I just can't. :(

Same here. I only read about it online. I really don't want to watch the gory details on CNN and haven't. Too sad.
There have been several things I have just refused to turn on. Just can't do it, this world has gotten too cruel, and like Ocelot said, it just makes my heart hurt too much. :(

Yes. And if that was unclear in my post, my apologies
No, you were clear, you all gave me excellent advice.
I wasn't going to try a bath unless ProVape told me to via a open ticket, or whatever that's called.
I do really appreciate everyone's help yesterday, it's working almost like new again. :)

I haven't actually watched the news for a few years now, it's SOOOO much better that way. I have a page with links to local and national news, and I can choose which to look at. I don't miss anything, but don't have to deal with the details/videos unless I choose to do so.

Ninety percent of the time, I'd much rather read about something than watch a video. And I read 3-4 different versions of whatever the subject is.

Orlando makes my heart weep. :(

Just been too sad to even post today. To say my heart is bleeding doesn't do justice to the despair I actually feel. To be hated so viciously, to the point someone feels they are justified in taking our lives in such a heinous manner is beyond what my pea-sized brain is capable of processing. Going off the grid for a few days. Will be back of course, but I just can't put into words how I feel at this time.

This is a quote from a Facebook posting by the "Dirty Jobs" guy, Mike Rowe. I hope it gives you some comfort in this dark time...

"I’m on a plane now, headed back to Baltimore, watching this nightmare unfold on the seat-back in front of me. There’s a kid sitting next to me - maybe ten years old - trying to get his head around the details of what’s happened. He has many questions, and because he’s seen me on television, he thinks I have the answers. All I could think to tell him was the same thing I always recall on days like this one. It’s a quote from Mr. Rogers.

“When I was a boy and I would see scary things in the news, my mother would say to me, "Look for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping.”

Orlando, and the rest of us, need all the helpers we can get.
Godspeed.

Mike"

While this particular act horrifically targeted a specific group of people, it was truly an attack on all of us. I hope you can take some comfort in knowing that there is more love in this world than hate. There are many of us outside the LGBTQ community who share feelings similar to yours regarding this atrocity.

I love that show! Perry is my hero. My daughter prefers Wallykazam though and that's what i'm watching right now. :(

Better than the news, but not as good as Bubble Guppies! :D

If some unwashed heathen pig-dog carries out a terrorist attack that kills a single US citizen I don't care what flavor you are, they have symbolically murdered each and every one of us and deserve our undivided attention in regards to an all out conventional US response with extreme prejudice.
