If I had taken a before pic, you'd understand why it's that large. The hole was gaping and I couldn't believe the electrician felt it was acceptable. It's now painted and looks great. I'll post an after pic.

My attempt at humor went right over your head...

Looks good! Kudos to you!

I took apart a door latch to the servants (back, emergency, to us modern folks) stairs (circa 1875) that wasn't catching today. The spring that pushes the bolt out was dislodged.

Clearly, over my head, but not to worry, much goes over my pea-sized head! Yes it does! I fixed a broken latch today myself. We have a little cabinet from Restoration Hardware that somehow sustained a latch failure during the move. I was right proud of myself for figgering out what was broken and fixing it.

We just finished dinner. Not that that's remarkable, but the fact I grilled steaks (and no pictures cuz the food was already eaten) on my own brand new grill is beyond exciting to me! Charlie made my mom's potato salad from a recipe she created over years of making it just perfect and it was. It's been years since I tasted her potato salad, so dinner was doubly wonderful.

Next up........The Spa! I must say that at the moment, Life Is Good! Yes it most definitely is good!

Someone gave me a link to Annealed Nickel wire at Temco. I can't find it now. I have searched and searched my computer.

When I search the Temco site, I can never find annealed nickel. That link was the only way I've ever been able to find it.

I'm thinking this is the thread where I got it. I can't remember for sure.

Anyone have the link for annealed nickel wire at Temco? It's the wire needed for the NR legs of NR-R-NR coil builds.
