Doc........ "cisgender"? Is this term used in common language? I had never seen that before, and I wonder if I may be the only one who hasn't?

I hadn't heard the term cisgender myself, so I looked it up. Here's what it means:

Cisgender (often abbreviated to simply cis) is a descriptor for those whose experiences of their own gender agree with the sex they were assigned at birth.[1] It may also be defined as those who have "a gender identity or perform a gender role society considers appropriate for one's sex."[2] It is a complement to the term transgender.[1]

Technical term for a non-transgendered person. Some folks within the trans community find terms like natal, natural, or biological (i.e. biological woman, natural man, natal woman, etc.) offensive and invalidating of their gender identity because it relates entirely to genitalia and prefer the term cisgender to describe people whose gender identity matches their birth sex.

Today was a nice day. I know they say you can't make up for lost sleep, but I beg to differ. I slept until 10:00 am this morning and it was great. This afternoon, I took a pound of jumbo shrimp I steamed to my dad at the nursing home and he really enjoyed them and our visit. And this evening, we had my office company BBQ. It was held at one of the owners homes, on 31 acres in horse country. They have stables for over 30 horses. The food was great, as was the company.

But, We are all human, and pretty f'd up to boot. I don't think that'll ever change.

I am sorry that any are offended in this life in general to begin with. But, this one ain't perfect, far from it. Maybe in the next, perfection can be found.

Let's forgive the lil things, and not bring them up in the enjoyment of this thing we call vaping.

I may have finally enticed my wife to start using a ProVari. She is very attached to her light aluminum Ego-T 18650, but tonight she liked the Mini I handed to her. I will continue to ease her into vaping bliss like chinese water torture if necessary, for her own good.

Near as I can figure some are, and some are leaving because of sports playoff thingers. Some may return, others may not. Only time and circumstances will tell which who does what when.

@Bronze, @ENAUD -- you both have decided to leave, and have posted as much. As much as that will pain many of us, it is certainly your absolute right to be wherever you wish to be, or not be.

I know many here will continue to question the why.

For my own brief interludes on this thread, I shall miss seeing your wit, your humour, your truths about life. I'm hopeful we'll bump in the nite on other threads.

Happy Easter everybody!

We are much like a family with a holiday dinner. Some of us can't make it in a particular year, some choose not to.

All the history, misunderstandings and different points of view come together.
They surface a bit, then we remember our common bonds and shared joy, long before dessert.

It's been a blessing for me to find this friendly bunch who have helped me enjoy ECF just when I was seeing little of interest to read or post. It is a pleasure to share a bit of time and fun with the ProVari family, and Beyond!
