Hey Guys ... Couple Troubleshooting TIps (i really should make a thread on them)
1) Put the batteries in, and screw the end cap on FIRST. Then hold down the switch as you screw on the adapter. The first 100 or so will NOT be pinned. The rest will be pinned so people will not need to do this.
The coatings you speak about on the end cap are actually not a coating per say ... Just *dust* from super gluing the springs to the end cap. If you are still have trouble with the end caps, you can also snip half of them off. We kept the original length springs instead of going shorter (considering the 18650 batt is roughly 1/4" shorter than the 2 RCR's)
2) Press switch ENTIRELY down ... All the way! IF only half depressed, it won't work.
3) Contact issue with adapter. If you feel the contact post is not reaching the adapter, its actually quite simple to fix. Grab a screw driver and hammer ... Hook the prodigy up with adapter on ... Put screw driver on brass threads, and tap down a bit to make contact.
