Just want to toss out a reminder to the folks using the Plat K's for the first time. If you're using VV/VW...start them out low! Even tho these cartos are 2.5ohm, testing showed that they really shine at lower voltage/wattage settings :)

Thanks for the reminder! I found 4.2v to be the sweet spot during testing, but I usually start out a bit lower to avoid frying a new carto that may (or may not) be primed perfectly. Seems to work well.

+1,000,000 I was troubleshooting the cause and completely forgotten about the plated solder!
That's what gives it the extra sweet Kick, so you can vape at a low current to prolong battery life.

This makes me excited about getting back to basics.

After struggling with tanks, punched holes, variable wattage, blah blah blah....I miss (and am returning to) what worked best "back in the day"and thats a 3.7 mod and a LR cartomizer.

I have way too much crap that I just don't use, or has caused me nothing but grief.

Viva la simplicity.

:)

Same for me J5. My BP or ProV Mini, a tanked IKV carto, and I'm happy as a pig in poop!

Ok...maybe more like a cow in the pasture ;)

I was at the local B&M store today and splurged and got a VV Ego. I got the Purple one to match my purple Buzz Pro Bovinia was so nice to give me. Kid wants to build a box mod and ask for some advice. Talk about over the top. They have one variable watt Mod that is out of pocket huge. It isn't vv only vw and on top of being so damn big it weighs more than a 16oz bud and almost as big. I wonder why they didn't put wheels on it. Here's a pic of it and as far as I'm concerned someone really lost it on this thing. The one I saw was black on the center tube.

Musle cars don't have to be huge and gawby. That thing reminds my of one of those Semis with the chrome wheels, chrome stacks and running boards. With a walk in sleeper that has tub, tv and the works. I wouldn't get one of those to go grocery shopping and without a cart to pull that PV behind me I wouldn't get it either. I do just as well with an Ikenvape dual coil nitro. I think I'll go up there and take a picture of it next to my Buzz and you can see how huge it is.
Oh and you get your eyes off my peanuts.

Your nuts are safe.

:)

Whew, I'm sure there's a lot of people that love that mod. My point was we were talking about how far this industry has gone from a cigarette sized simple ecig and how it's getting crazy. If you got that one hext mo. you'd have to get a bigger and better one. Where does it stop? I know. as long as there are people spending money China will make them bigger and flashier.

They have arrived...!!!

Primed a few of both 1.5 & 2.5 resistance and punched them myself..In my eagerness to try them I seemed to start a bit too soon before they really wicked well enough I suppose...I had my provari set at 4.0 volts and fried them both...OOOOOPS...I'll start wicking a few more and let them sit for a while this time..Update to follow.. I usually puch my 801 fusions with 3 holes because all I use is 100% VG juice..In all fairness I only used 2 holes on my first two Platinum K's..I'll try 3 holes this time...

By the way I like the new packaging...

**Update**
OMG...!! What a difference...All VG users take your time and even if you purchase the prepunched(I'm not sure of the holes&size) Make sure you have good wicking going on...Secondly, be patient at the beginning..Start off at 3.7 volts and work your way up carefully..I stopped at 3.9 Volts ( on the 2.5ohms one) and once the wicking was completely saturated it worked perfecty... The wicking got better & better by the way as I continued...Theres always a learning curve on anything new..Of coarse everything is subjective as well. Everyone's experiences will vary from Juice to juice and mod (power to power)...I'll follow up in a few days once I settle down and get over my new Ikenvape toys...lol Now bring on the 801 Fusions.....

Try what Bovinia said and start them out at a low setting then move them up. These things fire hotter that other cartos. BTW I burnt a couple but after a couple draws they were good as new.
Sorry I missed the update on your post. It seems like you figured it out already.
