it says on the lavatube site that its a vv and it goes up to 6 volts i was looking at reviews on youtube and they all say its goes to 6.... im a lil confused now.....

it does go to 6.0V according to the specs on the volcano site....

just wanted to add:
I already own a provari, but, will definitely buy one of these lavatubes to compare/try out.
if these work according to spec and are reliable.. they look like a very good alternative to the provari

Dont be...

The Lavatube does go up to 6v, it has the same 2.5 amp limit as the Provari, the provari will show an error and you can lower the voltage, the lavatube will show the voltage you dial (ex:5v) but it will lower the voltage on itself.

Its the same thing, but in the Provari you know the voltage your using, and in the Lava you dont.

Saying that the lavatube wont go higher than 4.2 is the same thing that saying the Provari wont go either, and it is true if you use LR in it, due to amp limit.

I have dropped my ProVari from counter height onto the kitchen floor THREE times. Not one scratch or ding on it, no rattles and it works just as flawlessly as the day it arrived. I would not want to drop my husband's Infinity Pro on the floor even once. The batteries rattle around in it, and the top atty connector was loose after one week. I haven't held a Lavatube, so I can't say for sure if it's built more like a ProVari or more like an Infinity Pro. My money is on it being more like the iPro, which is why my money went to Provape when I bought my next three ProVari's.

There is a video on youtube of a guy throwing one on to a concrete floor. No scratches still worked flawlessly. I'm lookin for it

i was just looking at the lavatube, it peaks at 4.2v....why is this vv?

im telling u for the cheapest vv hv device u can get a boxmod from madvapes for like 30 bucks, acouple 14500s and ur good to go, im just saying for anyone looking to try higher voltage for cheap...
you dont know what your talking about. the lava tube will drop the votage on a lr atty to operate at 4.2v so it dont over load. the provari will give you a error and wont operate. have you even tried a lava tube? as a owner it does go up to 6v and as low as 3v and anyware in beteween, so yes it is a vv. its simple if you want to spend more money and get a pretty device the a provari will cost ya like $250, if you want to average looking device that your not afraid to scratch and want to use save a little and get a lava tube for about $100 and buy alot af juice and accessories with the $150 you just saved
