Reliability

Provape is known for their reliability and warranty. While I think there are other reliable devices out there, Provari has a good reputation. That said, how long can they bank on that reliability allowing them to sell devices with minimal features?

At this point, Provari's only competitive advantage is their reliability, and you have to give up more modern features to get that.

What modern features are we giving up? Temp control it's far from being perfect, most people 90% don't need or want it. Only the wannabe rocket scientists who want to make vaping and quiting cigs complicated. Get a life scientist.

Well... There's some of that Provari pride that's been missing from the forums for so many months.

TC, Firmware upgrade-ability, sub .3 vaping really seems to be where this device lags. Yes. Those are for the enthusiasts... But, a couple of years ago, the Provari was for the enthusiasts. Are you really suggesting that a Provari is a simple beginner device? Or is it more of a niche within the vaping community?

Things change fast. Who would've thought box mods would be the preferred form 3 years ago?

I would love to buy a Provari DNA 200. I wish they made that happen.

Read the spec on the Radius, the USB is there for a reason.

From their site:
Rapid charging as well as software updates can be done using the built-in MicroUSB port

Check out the manual and you'll find that they offer most of the features of their competitors with the exception of TL which is ok with me and obviously many others.

200W for most is unnecessary and they didn't build this mod for the crowd that uses 200W. I own a DNA40 and a SX Mini M and I can tell you it vapes as good as the SX and better than the DNA.

It's my first Provape product but honestly I am real damn happy with this mod and it fits my vaping style perfectly, again like many. I didn't like their tube mods but really liked how they stood behind their equipment. They built a box and I picked one up and it's been in use damn near every day since I received it.

There are a ton of DNA40 mods selling for about the same price as the Radius but lack the support that Provape offers. I think they just released a device that will give them more market share, and I say that as a first time buyer.

I like buying quality devices and consider this one as good as or better than most out there without the hassles of having to hook up to a computer and launch software to change my wattage or build a profile ;)

It's not supposed to be that complicated.

U nit the nail on the head (it's not supposed to be complicated ). Its nice to leave the house with some juice and maybe a spare battery and not worry its going to guit . I keep a few coils in my console. If the radius batt gets low just use my car charger. I am going to visit daughter in Cambridge, Md . I will take one radius a few bottles of juice and a cell phone charger , maybe a spare battery. Used to take 3 or 4 mods, 6 batteries, chargers, coils, coil building stuff. I am now free from all that, and its nice to trust and enjoy something that much. Just wish i had another kabuki for another flavor. Hell I might as well wish for another Radius too.

Soooo... anyone dropped theirs yet? Perhaps from a significant height onto concrete (or something to that effect)? I really want to pull the trigger on one, BUT I don't know how much I trust the polycarbonate, and I haven't heard any real world stories about how tough it is...

As I posted earlier ... I heard ProVape beat the $&#% out of the Radius :)

Reliability

I will not argue that point, but I do think it's a bit overstated.

I've owned over 30 devices in the last 2.5 years and NONE of them have failed. Not my Segelei's, or isticks, or Innokin products, or anything else. While I have broken the glass on a few tanks, I've never had a mod fail, so reliability is not really an issue for me.

OK, Let me ask you this then...

Which mods will pass UL Testing?

The ones that do will be allowed to be sold in the USA legally. And, The ones that do not?

Time will tell, because, that's where things are going.

Welcome to Vaping Regulation in America.

Just my thoughts, Jim

After serious consideration, thinking about dropping cash on a dna200 device, im starting to more heavily consider the white radius. This is also coming from someone who owns a dna40 device and id like more reliability. As its simply not what i got from the factory 7 months ago. Heres to hoing that itll drop in time for christmas :rickroll:

I have never owned a Provari, but I am seriously considering the Radius. With regulations looming, I will want something I can count on for a long time.
My thoughts exactly...

Kinda why I just ordered a Black one.

Cheers, Jim
