Provari used to be good for some epic innerweb flame wars.

Now no one even cares enough to argue.

In a way its sad but really it just is what it is.

I do agree with the above that this is a weird roll out. reviews are slow coming. Even the soft targets like Pbusardo hasn't had a puff piece on this yet. That would be funny. Every time he looked at it and said its ok a voice in the back ground goes "boy, I wish the button was on top". I hear that voice sometimes when I use my SX.

Well every time we say Provari its clickable so lets create some pity sales.

What part about Provari isn't true??

Several statements in my post relating to Provari so which is the one(s) that aren't true??

Lets talk about the Provari Radius. We are in a general APV area so lets get some people buying Provari.

Not caring enough to argue... Thats what you said, that I thought was wrong.

I'll argue with you about it. (All day long)

I think there is very much a market for low watt quality devices. This forum is, easily, mostly populated with hobbyists that chat and talk shop. There are many others that just want a quality device, a decent topper and to vape. They don't want to get into forum chat. Much like the lurkers. The learn what they need and come back only if they have to.

Also, there is another forum site that a lot of Provape people chat on. There used to be more Provape chat here, but, a lot of confrontations, too. Many people just like a high quality system so they don't have to keep buying stuff.

Ah! Very nice!
I considered the kabuki cuz of HoH's quality. But i can see replacement coils being taxed out the ... or taken off the market all together.
Unless, aspire or the company who makes them is one believed to fork out the FDA money to get approved.

I have this same worry. My solution is to have 3 years worth of coils (at least) on hand plus a couple of kayfun lites and aqua 2s plus drippers. Enjoy the ease of the kabuki for as long as is practical, have rebuildables for long haul/just in case.

I gotta say, I used to love the provaris. I had five of them at one point, don't even know why to be honest as you only needed one. But wow this box mod is a fail. Two years too late in all accounts. Battery swap is horrid, no Tc, screen sucks, menu system is bad, and it's plastic. Overpriced and under teched is the best way I have heard this thing being described. I am pretty sad honestly, I've been anxiously awaiting for them to come out with something that would rival something similar to the Sigelei 150tc. My wife's IPV D2 does everything the radius does and more for 1/4 the price. I really had high hopes for them, you would assume they would understand where the market is heading. I see you guys mentioning them lasting for a long time, but I don't see it unless they come out with something ground breaking for that kind of coin.

I wonder if there is a color for veterans?
That's a good idea. Like a digi camo version?

And yes the plastic part is the colored part. There's know blue, black, cabernet, and white (white will finally be available at 10am PST tomorrow).

There are jwraps for the Radius, including camo:

Interesting thread ;)

I received my blue one today, and after a couple of hours use I have come to the conclusion that I like it. But then I rarely exceed 20W and am quite happy with an upper limit of 40W (which appears to be the sticking point for a number of posters). Whether you would like enough to buy it depends on you.

I've compared the vape quality (subjective I know) by switching an eGo ONE 1.8ml tank that has a 0.53 ohm, stainless steel coil in it wicked with Japanese cotton at 13W, between an eVic VTC mini and the Radius. Both mods read the resistance of the coil within 0.01 ohm of each other. The Radius does indeed have a smoother vape, I assume this is due to better power regulation. In operation, it feels softer but produces as much or more vapour than when the atomiser is used on the VTC.

Physically, the Radius is slightly taller (~4mm) and about the same dimension wider; thickness is comparable. The height is excluding the P3 to 510 adaptor.

Here is the link to the manual http://www.provape.com/v/pdf/ProVariRadiusManual_English.pdf ... read pages 3 to 7 (the feature set) and then compare it to any other mod out there, and draw your own conclusions. The one line that sticks out to me is this: "If you press the button and can vape, the device is safe!" I assume this is not an idle boast, but fact.

What I don't like? The dinky little cap for the USB port (promptly chucked back into the box). The ability to change the LED colour is a non event to me, but useful I suppose to those who care about these things.

Is it worth $200? Well, I think so but then I've only had it a short while.

To those asking if it would survive a drop on concrete, well I don't drop my $50 mods on concrete, why would I deliberately drop a $200 mod on concrete? Buy one yourself and drop it on concrete and report back please.
