Just my 2 cents.. I love my provari. I got it about 4 weeks ago. I've come from kr808's, to knock off lava tubes, to 2 Vamo's, and then now I'm here. I've loved VV since. I now understand why this mod has it's following. It's a very well made design. In essence, buy what makes you happy and interests you most and suits you and your needs. From my understanding, if provape did upgrade, I'd see an extra menu option for VV to VW. With it said, you may be able to upgrade the chip in the provari itself rather than buying a whole new mod.. For it's price.. But I know quite a few here who would without hesitation just because of the excellence in the quality and performance of this product. Heck.. My brother has a V1 provari. He vaped my 2.5 and still won't budge and reason for buying a 2.5. His V1 works just as well. So to assure you OP, if you did pull the trigger on a Provari, you won't be disappointed IMHO. And if there is an upgrade, you'd be able to make it for a lot cheaper and a lot easier. You won't be disappointed. But if VW is a decision factor and a dire need right this second, I'm sure provape is coming with an easy VW option in the near future as it's becoming the new "cool" thing... But the choice is yours.

I agree. Too bad the Semovar is the only mod made that does that and is built like a ProVari. I need to look into getting one of those.

Edit: 99% of vapers won't notice a difference. I probably won't either, but I'm willing to be a Guinea pig. :D

Edit #2: Holy crap! Just watched a video on the Semovar. I didn't realize it could be turned into a mechanical mod. :w00t:

Actually the Semovar goes in increments of 0.2w upto 10w then in 0.5w over 10w

All the defensiveness, and the hostility towards a person who's just asking a polite, simple, well-articulated, justified, and (what should be) in no way an offensive question. You've made the Provari a lot less attractive to me, just like apple-fanatics have made macbooks and iphones a lot less attractive. It's simply impossible to have any sort of level-headed conversation, and as a result I have far less trust in anything that's said about the quality and performance of the device. And, how would adding a feature take anything away from a Provari, and why should someone who happens to appreciate that feature be attacked? In fact, I've seen something very similar among mac-fanatics: a feature that the mac-device lacks is unnecessary and anyone who wants that feature is ignorant. When apple then introduces said it's all of a sudden indispensable, and apple innovative for including it. I fully expect the same thing to happen if Provari ever includes vw and/or a multiple button system. If I ever get a Provari (and I was expecting to, some day, not so sure anymore) I certainly don't want to be associated with (many of) you, and might need to disguise the device so that no one recognizes it as a Provari.

Exactly! I've been thinking hard about getting a provari, but after reading this thread I can't help but want to hate provaris not so much for the provari itself but the fanbase. The way provari fanbois flamed the OP and make excuses for their beloved overpriced product reminds me of the way apple fanbois do the same thing. It is a very legitimate question the OP asked and it's not a lot for a vaper to demand a little more the price being asked from provape. Don't forget the fact that that if you want your prvari to fit flush with a lot of tanks you need to drop an additional $20+shipping for a proring, or if your favorite tank sits flush already but gets it's airflow from underneath like most tanks you need to drop $20+shipping for a top with grooves cut for airflow.
I mean seriously folks. I've had a chance to vape with a friends provair 2.0 and it does vape nicer than my Sid but it's not a whole world of difference, it's not night and day, I'm sorry but it's not. I get much bigger variations in vape quality out of the types of tanks I use, not the PV. My Sid has all the bells and whistles as well as groves for airflow on the top and my cartotank sits really nice on top of it and does it for $40.
Why spend over $200 to get a slightly better vape when you can buy 5 Sids for the same price? Or 1 Sid, 1 Kayfun lite Plus, 2 batteries and 100ml of juice?????
If a marginally better vape is worth an additional $160 to you and you have the cash to throw around than more power to you, but don't act like an elitest a**hole about it. You just discredit yourself and the provari and look like one of those apple fanbois. Sure the iphone when it came out was the greatest thing ever, yes, but sorry I'm sorry to say, the Asians have taken what we americans pioneered and made it better and cheaper and it's just a matter of time b4 they do it again. I'm not saying they have, but history has a way of repeating itself.

Or who know, maybe provape has a super awesome version 3.0 with vv/vw from 3W to 30W power and are going to blow everybody's mind but are waiting for the Chinese to finally come out with that "provari killer" only then to drop it on the market. I would love to see the day that happens.

Except no one attacked him personally.

Wrong(sort of). I read this entire thread, at first cause I was wondering the exact same thing as the OP but continued on for the entertainment factor. The OP clearly spent more time focusing on schoolwork than learning how to handle trolls in forums but many of the responses to his question can be summed up like this. "you're and idiot for wanting VW and you're an idiot for questioning the awesome perfection that is provari".
Look, I'm not knocking provaris here, obviously people love them and they are great products bet even provape knows their product can be improved upon. If the provari was absolutely perfect and met every vaper's need there wouldn't be V 2.0 and V 2.5 and guess what, I guarantee you there most definitely will be a version 3.0 and 3.0 3g and 3.0s and they'll do something gimmicky like have a stupid looking "zombie" edition as if that dead horse hasn't been beat enough so yeah. The provari is far from perfect and is lacking in a few departments and after having vaped one myself I think it's status, just like it's fanbois is full of a little hot air.

just my :2c:

This, x100,000,000...I bet if Provape knew how some of these people acted (trust me, I want to use many more descriptive's), they'd be so embarrassed. It's an e-cig, get over it.

Go outside.

I never understood why apple fanbois get so insanely defensive when anyone wants to debate the pros can cons of anything in comparison to an apple product. They will defend absolutely every single argument against their beloved to the point of outright lying about specs, features and statements of fact. You don't really see anything exactly like it anywhere else. I'm also very active in other forums for guns and computers and nowhere do you get fanbois like this in gun forums except may just a little bit here an there for colt, colt fanbois can be snooty but no where near as bad as appleheads, but wow do provari fanbois go that extra mile to be douchebags like staunch apple fanbois.

So far I haven't seen the outright lies and made up facts just yet, mostly must misinformation due to a lack of more in depth knowledge. But hay, Im glad to see how easy it is to get a bunch of people all riled up. Just post a thread questioning the some of the obvious shortcomings of a very very overhyped and overpriced product and watch its defenders come out in droves to flame the hell out of. I loved how the OP just got totally sucked into it all and just posted away as if he was going to make any difference at all. I wished I could've caught this one at the beginning, I'dve had my popcorn in one hand and my PV in the other laughing all the way.

Wow. Read your first five words. Then read the rest of your paragraph. Not doing much to avoid feeding trolls are you? Seems like you are engaging in the same junk you are slamming others for.

If you don't like/want/own a provari no one really cares. Buy what you want and be happy. Please.

Happy Holidays folks... it is just vape gear friends... lets take a deep breath, zip on your fave drink (juice, milk, coffee, tea, etc...) and continue. :)

Isn't that the truth! I don't understand what people don't get about this...it is a Provari sub forum...for the provari enthusiast...we like provari in here..we are happy with what it does and does not do in here. Ask these questions in the provape forum and you might get the response your looking for...ask in here and it goes to crap every time.

I dont even use my provari anymore but i do have to say i havent seen anyone prove that the fanbase is based on hype or the product doesnt live up to its reputation, this is very far from defending apples garbage.
I own several VW mods and yet I still fail to see it as a better system. but I guess im just stupid cause you say so.
provari is the cheapest mod I own ,, so i guess by your reasoning EVERYTHING i choose to own is overhyped and over priced? just cause you choose to spend your money on junk doesnt give you the right to judge the rest of us.

Sid sub-forum must be slow today.

Edit: The OP is actually going to buy a ProVari, but some drive by trollers with no interest in the ProVari, are not going to buy a ProVari based on a dislike of the owners of ProVaris responses to the OP.

For every customer ProVape loses because of threads like this, they gain ten for every other thread in this sub-forum.

Shh, don't chase off the entertainment.

He'll have to a lot better to do so. First off he could try by saying something that makes sense. He obviously read my post and took out of it exactly what he wanted to hear. He say my post through provari fanboi goggles and totally missed my point.

Allow me to enlighten our dear friend. If I had $200 to burn I'd like to have a provari. They are an extremely fine vape indeed. They are also lacking in a few features that can and most likely will be addressed in version 3 or 3s or whatever. I mean seriously, having a couple airflow grooves on the top connector is PV designing 101, seriouly. And yes, they are a tad overpriced but they get away with it cause at the moment, they are the King of the hill. Although, a lot of that status comes from a very loyal and vocal fanbase that over promises how good they are and like the good sheeple they are they vigorously defend the provari against any question anyone may have about the price and other shortcoming just as they did in this thread.

Again, this is not an attack on the provari, I'm just calling out the fanboi sheeple who secretly know they overpayed to buy into an overhyped product, and other than admit the provari isn't god's gift to vaping they would rather attack with great vengeance and furous anger those who attempt to question the glory that is thier provari.
