Soft glass should be fine for a drip tip tho. It's not the hot end, nor is it the tank. There isn't the need for the mouthpiece to be chemical, heat, shock resistant. And while soft glass isn't as strong, you are talking about a tiny bit of glass. At that small size, even soft glass is hard to break, plus, it's so much more malleable than boro, you can get way more creative with shapes.
I have Jacks, in nearly every size. But you don't even need jacks, tungsten tweezers would do it. The problem is melting the TEENY little tube and not deforming it, while being molten enough to groove it using tiny tubing.
I guarantee you they are molded, or you can't get a precise enough round to seal, even with an O-ring. We just have to figure out how to mold it
