In light of the new soon to be announced regulations, I have a question.

If you do not DYI your own e-liquid, can you freeze the already mixed flavors from vendors and if so, will they degrade? Does anyone know how long they last not frozen?

Would it be worth stocking up on the things that you like, along with other supplies?

I am not doing so at this time. But I am subscribing to the theory that if I have everything to lose, I will fight with more vigor. Of course if the regulations that are deemed are overly oppressive, I will be stocking up at that time.

Most vendors say refrigerated liquid will last a year, frozen perhaps 2-3. Talk to your vendor and find out for sure. A lot has to do with the composition of the liquid and there is no single standard. I hear nic base when frozen keeps three years, but that is something Technonut has greater knowledge than me about.

To be honest, I have never looked into freezing flavored e-liquid since I have primarily DIY'ed for years now, and vape any vendor-purchased juice quickly.. I imagine it would depend upon which flavorings are used, and how well they freeze.

Like Edd said, I would contact the specific vendors for that info..

EDIT: Edd is also correct about unflavored nic base freezing well for up to 3 years.. ;)

I have kept a 3 year supply of nic base stocked for the past couple of years.. I grab it when the sales are good, and rotate though it, so I always have some that's relatively recent.

Well, I feel better now that I finally got my 60 ml Gorilla Juice order in and trying Boba's out for the first time too. Now I'm wondering w/all this crap going down if I should of bought the 100 ml of GJ???:(

It's all on what one is comfortable with.. I do remember a couple of times when talk of the proposed regulation was in the air, nic base was sold out practically everywhere. I decided years ago not to wait until the last minute to stock-up. There is nothing to really panic about now, but if these proposed regulations next month are oppressive, folks will be rushing to make purchases.

The FDA put down 12/00/2013 for the announcement.. No specific day mentioned.

EDIT: Here's the FDA link again:

Here is a good Vape Team episode from last month discussing the proposed regulation:

I'm usually not one to BE PREPARED (hell, I'm lucky if I have enough C batteries for my flashlights in the event of a power outage), but I figured with the black friday deals I might as well buy some nicotine base. I didn't go nuts, and frankly, having high concentration nicotine base in the house freaks me out a little. So I just bought a few 125 ml bottles of 36mg 100%PG to stick in the basement freezer. I'm currently stepping down from 18mg to 12mg, and plan on going down to 6%, so I figure if and when the time ever comes that I have to add my own nic to 0% juice, I'll have plenty on hand. I bought from My Freedom From Smokes using the code "blackfriday".

And FYI - whenever I remember to bring an umbrella, it never rains. So now that I bought the nic base, it is probably a safe bet that they will NOT regulate away nicotine juice. You're welcome.

Although there is surgery in my not to distant future, I have to have bone spurs removed from my rotator cuff yet again (thanks to an unwise decision in my younger days), I doubt it will hinder my ability to vape.

Since there are some studies linking nic with slowing the bone growing process, maybe vaping will help slow the reappearance of those bone spurs? I don't see your surgery hindering your ability to vape, either. Good luck with the procedure!

I know we should get back to the regularly scheduled ProVari forum banter, but I'd just like to say "Thanks" for all the things that have been posted recently.

I been trying to post here for a while, trying not to talk about something we're not suppose to talk about on here.
But I will try to make sense with out breaking rules.

A lot of states are legalizing :censored:, which they told people for years was bad and evil. Why was it bad and Evil then and not now?

Money! Someone sat down and figured out the money they could make legalizing it off the taxes.

It's all about the money.

Fact is more people that quit smoking equals less tax money off of Analogs.

So they have to make that money up somewhere.

But wouldn't it be true if they stopped smoking they might live longer and pay more taxes in the long run?

Went to my local B & M yesterday to pick up some new juices on sale for Black Friday, and happened to ask him if he had any Provari's. His answer kind of stumped me. He said he won't carry Provaris because he can't make enough money off of them. He said that because of what they charge he can only make at most 10-15 dollars off of them. Has anyone heard of this before? I know in Washington Provaris were the biggest high end mod sellers in the B & Ms. And it's not like he has to pay an import tax or anything; we're in Alaska for crying out loud!

He's probably not a licensed dealer, so would just buy them retail and mark up the price 7%.

Ah but see, if people live longer, they get more money from retirement, social security and medicare. The gov't doesn't want them to live long enough to take advantage of those benefits they paid into.

They also no longer pay income taxes, so are no longer useful to this Administration.

Actually wrong. And you can thank the dems for that. Retirees DO pay income tax on social security income now. Which I for one think is wrong. Just another in a long string of broken promises.

Wow, I didn't know that had changed. They are paying tax on a tax they have already paid.
