I won the prize for Biggest number of hits, or strokes or whatever and it was a bottle of wine and they did not know what to do (I was like 15) so they gave it to my dad and he did not share. I EARNED that bottle.

Funny game, isn't it? Go to the tee box and set the ball on a tee. You hit the ball. You find the ball and hit it again. And again and again. That's what you are supposed to do. Hit the ball. And the person that does what they are supposed to do the most often? They lose.

I can remember when those novelty songs were current, and sadly, how much I liked them. My sense of music hopefully has developed since then. Looking back, it's pretty amazing that stuff like that could become big hits - Purple People Eater, Itsy Bitsy Teenie Weenie Yellow Polka Dot Bikini, Does Your Chewing Gum Lose its Flavor on the Bedpost Overnight...

But clicking on that link brought me to a possible epiphany - Was that song the first rap song? Seriously - little or no melody, spoken words not sung, just a beat to move the song along. I am boggled at the thought.

Since we're all into introspection today, I'll offer my own. I now believe I know nothing.

That's a good candidate. And also because Debbie Harry. ;)

Believe it or not, at the time I was doing DJ work part time. One of the other DJs brought in "Rapper's Delight" by the Sugarhill Gang and it was the first time I heard the term "rap". They were both about the same time but I can't remember which came first. Certainly a lot more people were exposed to Blondie than the other song.

Anyone know what these are? They are so small, they fit through the screen mesh. We think they are baby mosquitos but are not sure as we have never seen insects this small. It would make sense as we have started mosquito control for the first time ever in this town.

Anyone know if there's anyone out there who can repair P3's and/or Radius' ??

The response I got from him in early June was;
" ProVari Repair is closed due to other responsibilities. I am considering reopening in late summer/fall."
