I've had success with fring/not fring.
maybe I am overfilling, will try not fringing for a while.
also, my attys really make a dent, do you cut back the ptb or is it better wicking if the atty bridge is pushing into the ptb? If I'm overfilling than it seems that the bridge is pushing in and the juice is dumping out.
Also, I seem to have to work at 'flowering this up' once I get the ptb in the cart. Was wondering if anyone uses more than half of a ptb or is that too much thus holding more juice and not releasing it.
thanks for you input Kristin.
I've had the bridge push it all the way in and it still works fine. Just don't overfill it.
If it won't spread out properly, take it out completely, reposition it on your pointed object and reinsert. You may have to wrap it a little on the pointy object. Sometimes I have to redo it a couple times, too.
I have been using this for about a week now. When i first tried it i was using a ry4 all pg liquid with great success! Now i'm trying it with a root beer float liquid 40% vg 60% pg and i'm having problems with it leaking now. Wouldn't my new liquid be thicker? Why is this happening now?
Is it leaking or flooding? Leaking (seaping out of the e-cig at the seams) or flooding (gurgling and getting liquid in your mouth) could be that you're not putting the cart on all of the way, atty isn't screwed in all of the way, aligning the cart right, have too many spaces in the "flower" or overfilling. With flooding, be sure to hit the button for a second (manual) or do a primer puff (auto) to heat the atty a bit before taking a drag.
Sometimes, liquid drips down the sides of the cart when filling/refilling unnoticed and you'll get flooding or leaking. (Had that happen to me.)
Whenever I've had leaking or flooding with this mod, I either overfilled or accidentally dripped down the side of the cart and it got into the vapor vent on the side.
Hope that helps!
PS. I've found that adding extra material just inhibits wicking and flavor. You're better off adjusting the length of the straw or making sure your "flower" is properly spread out.
