I am order number 21069 for a protege. It has been about 22 days waiting, so far. I knew there would be a wait, so I am waiting.

However I do have a complaint: About a week after my order, I tried to change from a 510 adapter to a 801 adapter and was told this could not be done. Considering that the item had not been shipped and would not be shipping any time in the near future, I don't understand why I couldn't change the order.

Anyway, I went ahead and got the 801 adapter in a separate order -- which has already arrived. Now I just have to be sure not to lose it before I receive the protege.

I just looked up your ticket history, and what you've posted above is not quite correct according to what I've got, and I don't want anyone to think that I refused to alter your adapter. You asked to add an 801 adapter to the order, not switch the original 510 to an 801. I told you that I can no longer add items to pre-existing orders due to our payment gateway, and that you would have to place a separate order for the adapter. I'm sorry if this was not what you wanted, but this was what you had asked for in your emails.

Thanks for the clarification. It was an issue of shipping charges. And I believe you told me I could not change the order, but could return it when it arrived and get what I wanted in a re-order, which of course would take another looooooong time. So I decided against it.

My complaint is that since the item obviously would not be ready for such a long time, changing the order should not have been a problem.

Yes, at that time I probably would have been adding the adapter since I didn't know if I would like the 801 yet, so wanted the 510 as well. Now I know I like it so I could either add it or change it. Anyway, I received the adapter rather quickly and now just have to be careful not to lose it until the protégé arrives. Hope I like it, too. Heard a lot of good things about it.

I don't understand either why the 801 flat cart is SO flat compared to the 510. I know this is not your dept. but it annoys me. Again, I am constantly reminded by stuff like this that there is no perfect PV.

Sorry if all of this was confusing, but if you had just wanted to swap the one adapter for the other, that would've been no problem. I just can't add additional items to orders, as we have no way to collect payment. Our payment gateway will not allow us to charge an additional amount on a customers card to protect customers from unauthorized charges. Thus, the reason I offered to cancel the original order, issue a refund, and allow you to re-order, which you declined. I hope this helps clear everything up!

There are times that email just fails to relay the message and meaning clearly.

I've never figured out if it's the way it's written or read.
It happens to me in both directions at times.
I think a lot of it has to do with our preconceived outcome or feelings about a situation and other times it's just the particular state of mind we're in when writing or reading.
We have no way to understand and or insert inflection.
 
Hey PS

I have a question on the PT attachment for the protege. will i get a higher voltage when using a usb and thus a similar experience to the regular PT

I have noticed that my Reg PT puts outs a really nice throat hit and a ton of smoke. My protege puts outs a lot of smoke but its much more of a smoother inhale. don't get me wrong, both are really nice but my mood varies.

just wondering if i get the attachment give me the best of both worlds

i am assuming the protege with its 3.6v vs the PT giving whatever power source you giving it makes the difference

I am wondering if the same applies for the attachment.

sorry if someone has already asked this question.

by the way THANKS to casey and PS tech for getting that repair done. i donno what was wrong with it or what you all did to fix it, but it was great getting that back.
