Yeah, I really want to continue at 5v with one of my current Prodigys. I understand that the mechanical 3.7v version will be faster coming. But I really hope you can come up with a 5v one for us 5v fans fairly soon. I burn up enough attys at 5v... I sure don't want to get used to 6! I have considerable money in all of my prodigy stuff, and it is otherwise fantastic. I sure don't want to just set part of it aside when my 5v switch wears out.

I just lost my first tact switch today after about 2 1/2 months. Though I will kind of blame myself as I accidently switched my power converter to 7.5, oops! Luckily I had ordered some spares, yay and it's back working like a champ. But ... kind of a hassle to solder, so some long lasting mechanical ones would be awesome! Can certainly count me in for a couple of 5V ers when the're ready!

Everything you've ever known, owned seen or dreamed of is "subject" to failure.

If you short the switch out by not keeping the connection to the atty clean or if the atty fails internally and causes the switch to ground, yes it is.

.

My switch has died TWICE, and wasn't because of either one of those reasons.........

yeah I Chose 1 as well, but it would be under the exact same conditions as panderson01 had mentioned: 5V and reasonably priced.

Ditto.......I would take two @ 5volts, seeing as mine has failed twice in 4 months. Sorry to be sounding negative, but it's really aggravating.

Rather than start a new thread, I thought I'd just ask this here. I wonder if our Prodigy V1 switches go bad will we be able to have them replaced with a mechanical switch while still under original warranty. That would certainly be nice. :)

I totally agree.
