PRODIGY: Stick With The Old OR Go With The New ???

New Prodigy Redesign ... or ... Stick with the Old Prodigy Design

  • New Prodigy - (Smaller ... And likely a 5v only device)

  • Old Prodigy - (A Bit Smaller, with Vast Improvements) Still 3.7/5v/6v device

I am SOOOOOO Glad I am Here, SOOOOOOO Exciting, I Think it is well known that whatever it is at whatever the Cost I am Buying IT, Nothing is Impossible, It is only a matter of if you are willing to do it, I would only Add that it come with its own Foam Padded Miniature Indestructible watertight case, There have been some cool ones made for Cigars that look like handgun cases that are small, and it would so make a better presentation when showing it to a possible newcomer ;),
Man I Love this! OK Ill shut up before I get all fired up and excited and start telling everybody how much I am Happy LOL,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Thank You PureSmoker :) and fellow Vapers

Sooooo conflicted!!! What do I buy for my first high voltage PV!?8-o Well after all I've read I'm defiantly waiting for the Prodigy V2. The only high volt device I've ever tried was a friend's SB but it wasn't working well at the time because of some sort of spring issue.

I hope they come quick, I might get too restless and order a Chuck while I wait. But, one of those pre-orders must be mine! :D

I like the original because it's versatile. You can do several things with one device and that is one of the biggest features of it. ( and why I bought my V1 to begin with)
Perhaps just rework the original in steel to make more durable and with a mechanical switch and it would be perfect. I would consider getting one of the new one's.

A dedicated 5v I don't really want as I don't want half a dozen mods when I could have 1 that does them all. ( I do have a protege that I love because it's so small and perfect to take out)

Since it looks so split maybe do both and we could have the option for either for those that want versatility and for those that want a dedicated 5v?

I would prefer a dedicated 5v device. I too have a Protege and love it. Why would I want to have to change switches and batteries to change voltage when I can just pick up the other PV?

The 1 thing that really adds mucho size is the capability of running the 18650 ... Its a beast of a battery ....

More News When Things Get Finalized .... Although they are .... We still have a bit of preliminary testing of things ;)

So,what are the voltage options of the V2? Now that I have the PS PT the 18650 is not as important as it was. In fact for the last 2 days I haven't even used the Prodigy at all. I seem to be glued to the PT. My days are spent either on the road, at my desk, or in my recliner ay home. I keep the Protege handy for those mobile events on foot.

I'll be honest. The only reason I have never bothered to buy any 5v or 6v devices is strictly due to size issues. I keep borrowing and using other folks prodigies at vape meetings to take a few quick draws because they are really great vaping devices (and I give you huge kudos for that Steve) but I'm still hesitant on ever buying them. I do realize that anything which requires 2 batteries will obviously be bigger than lets say a jantystick but I really think there has to be more inovative ways to keep these things a bit smaller (or at least not to look like a tool pulled out of a tooolbox).
