My list of wants for next version of CE5... so far

-Updated tank plastic so it wont react with acidic juice
-Option to buy these with an aluminum tip not plastic, willing to pay more for the add-on, or have it as an option or order one with the CE5 for $X more
-unscrew-able base like Stardust V2-r, and screw in replaceable center tubes available in different ohms

Thanks, I do love my menthol. I've been out for a little while, need to get another bottle.

The sweet juices don't give me any trouble, I have small and large Phoenix bottom coils that are 2 months old, give or take. I'm careful to keep them clean and take good care of them, though. It's the dark sweet flavors that can really gunk stuff up. I have a dedicated carto for the chocolate, it's very notorious.

I heard people say its dark sweet flavors, but cherry limeade was completely clear and gunked the stuff up just as fast.

Hey I just had a thought... I think when an Alpha member (myself) receives a DOA product that is limited to 1 only, said member should be able to purchase another. The Ce5 and Passthru were both DOA. How can I effectively contribute with dead productd? Now one could say that I am contributing as being one in the DOA column, but if I/we are willing to buy another I think I/we should have the opportunity. Just a thought from a member feeling less than usefull. (guilt works everytime) By the way did I mention I just had surgery?:)

This is one of those times where I'm being serious and kidding at the same time. If the guilt thing works I'll take it however I can get it.

I could get behind that, I think. The limited quantity element makes it that much more disappointing.

As for the sweet juices, I've never had cherry limeade, but now I'm thinking about mixing some of the sweet cherry flavor I have with my lemonade and seeing what happens! Cherry flavors have always been kinda blah to me unless they're mixed with something, I don't know why.

I'm sure the manufacturer of the juice and what it's used on will effect how quickly it gunks up coils. It's why I generally always stick with one type of carto that I know can handle the large majority of my juices. I'd rather pick a cart to match my juices than the other way around. Even then, sweet juices tend to cause a little more carto maintenance. It's what I like that keeps me going, so I can live with it. This excludes Alpha products because I never know how it'll work with different juices.

That's part of the testing process, I suppose! I could go out of my way to be extra careful how I treat them and test them for longevity or I can commit a few vaping faux pas to see if they can handle it. That's relevant info, too! Or maybe I'm just trying to make myself feel better for putting freaking lemonade in a Stardust type of carto

That wasn't a rant or anything, just drinking coffee and typing what comes to mind. Looking forward to whatever comes out for Alpha today! I just bought school supplies for two kids whose 2nd and 5th grade teachers seem to think they need to bring an arsenal, so I hope I can purchase today instead of tomorrow.

My thought on the CE5.
Initially impressed with the vapor. But that always seems to be my first impression when trying something new.
After using for a couple days I am finding the vape way too airy. Make sense? It is just not dense enough for me. Kinda like suckin through a straw with a pinhole in it.
Secondly it takes forever for an initial flavor to burn off when refilling with a new flavor. I'm into the new flavor a good 1/2 tank and the original flavor is still in command. I see no easy way to clean these with the filler besides flushing them with water and waiting 3 or 4 days for the filler to dry out.
No leakage issues for me and no meltdowns. (That was amazing)
All in all I do not think I would get another one without some tweaks. But that's just me, I see many others like them. Someone in a previous post mentioned making them similar to a rebuildable stardust. That might work.

I haven't tried the rebuildable stardust yet, but I imagine that would be a big improvement.

You guys mention waiting for days for them to dry out, so I had a question. I remember back in the day when you basically had two choices: cartridges with the poly fiber in them (or blue foam or pyramid teabags) or filler cartos. Some people actually put the filler cartos in a couple layers of socks with a knot tied in them and threw them in with a load of clothes in the dryer to dry them out. Would that be possible with these? I always shied away from the idea.

One flaw that I see with these is the fact that you simply can't get that last bit of juice unless I'm missing something. It won't reach the lowest hole and tilting it doesn't work. A bottom wick hole is a must or they could have the ends of the wicks poking out at the bottom like the regular stardust has towards the top or like the Phoenix has. I don't know how feasible that is, but I dislike having to stick a long needle in there to suck out the remaining juice.

My VV Rocket thoughts.
Awesome little mod. I would like to see a few changes.
Top socket. Second rocket I had and had to file the top plastic and part of the metal socket down just so all my goodies would make contact. Particularly my sealed 510 to ego adapter.
When reflex vaping, I find myself touching the side buttons instaed of the larger power button. They either have to recess these buttons slightly or make the activation similar to the provari where it would have to take multiple clicks to make a voltage change. Some thing to make it more intentional instead of accidental.
The bottom base needs to be molded more flat. Rocks a bit much when setting it down. Maybe that's just due to the very light weight of this unit.
The bottom cap needs to be beefier. It's only a matter of time before this cap will not lock on. I guess it's the whole plastic thing to me, but I know that's where the profit lies. Making these kinda disposable at his point is kinda OK with the rate that this market is adding new items. Very few things out today will be around a year from now.
All in all I like it and may pick up another to have around. There is something to that pulsing power output. Seems to give a very stable controlled vape.

On tank #3 with the CE5 and I'm getting some burnt hits. I'm using it on my Twist at 4.0. I tend to chain vape, maybe that's my problem. The draw is very airy, but I'm getting great big clouds of vapor. I have a real love/hate thing with clearos.. not sure yet if I'd buy another one. Really looking forward to more stuff to try :)

That sock in the dryer may work. Probably come out tasting like a bounce dryer sheet though.
Also the juice at the bottom seemed a bit weird to me also but maybe enough juice would crawl up the tube when tilting to reach the holes.

 Yeah, you definitely wouldn't want to use a dryer sheet! Hmm, probably would want to run the clothes through a 2nd wash with no detergent before throwing them in for good measure.

I tried tilting to get the juice to the holds, but it runs down the inside of the tank and it's too far away from the holds for them to get any juice that way. I even tried shaking it forwards and backwards hoping a little juice would splash onto the post! No dice. I think it might be an easy fix, though.
