I have just completed running 3 fills of my favorite juice through this as well as through a CE4 long-wick (same ohm rating) for comparison. My juice is a secret recipe (from a semi-local B&M, not mine!), but it's on the dark side yet not too dark (4 out of 7 on the color scale), not acidic/citrus and I would guess around 70/30 due to the consistency. Ordinarily I wouldn't have chosen such a hard to acquire juice for testing but this juice really changes depending on the device and tastes best at eGo voltages.

Device Used: Genuine Joye 18650 eGo on the Regulated setting.

Fit & Finish: The Good - The fit and finish is on par with the other "Stardust" versions. Mine was built straight with no defects and everything seals properly. After 3 fills I have experienced no leaking from the bottom at all, not even a single drop on the eGo connector! / The Bad - Nothing, although I'll agree with other reviewers that an optional aluminum mouthpiece would be nice.

Wicking: This wicks great! Not only did I not get any dry hits in 3 fills worth of vaping, but by the end of the third fill my small amount of remaining juice had the same color and consistency as when I started the testing. My CE4 on the other hand was a much much darker sludge than when I started the testing.

Flavor: The flavor is decent for sure and most of what I love about this juice comes through in the taste, but I do lose the buttery flavor and the feeling like the flavor sticks to my throat after I've stopped vaping it with this juice. I do still find the Phoenix BC to have the best flavor, then the CE4 and then this CE5 in third place.

Conclusion: I give this product a "thumbs up" based upon my short experience with it so far, and would definitely purchase them out of Alpha. While the Phoenix BC and CE4 have better flavor (at least with this juice) it is consistent in regards to wicking and therefore less juice is wasted.

CE 5- Mine was a disaster, leaking and then dumping. Maybe I just got unlucky, but I just can't tolerate juice flooding all over my pv, so mine was trashed. Saved the little silicon seal and metal tip to use with stardusts, as well as the drip tip. Would maybe try one again if they were available as I don't think testing just one unit gives it a fair chance. I'm still waiting to hear if anyone has tried cleaning one and changing flavors as that would also factor in as to whether this is something I would want to use.

Yeah, I'm fairly certain that I just got lucky with mine. I used to use CEx's a lot before I discovered other things, and still do use CE4's of course, just not like I used to. Anyway, in a box of 4 or 5 I would typically get one that leaked a lot, one with a super tight draw that even pulling down the stem wouldn't help, and the other 2 or 3 were great.

Not to beat an old horse....but...I babied my scorpion...trying my best to avoid any of the pitfalls everyone else has experienced...my reward for such diligence was to get a lap-full of juice in a gigantic FAIL while driving to the doctors office...I am unable to discover exactly what caused the FAIL...but found about 5-6 hairline cracks in the polycarbonate upon closer inspection...I guess that I "could" have knocked the poly+top against the steering wheel...or maybe it just unscrewed itself...but lap-full of juice + 72 MPH is not a good vape mix... :(

C-8 which was offered only one or two days on Alfa, had an initial "BURN in" period of one complete tank, and continues to perform well as long as I do not try to chain-vape and/or deep inhales. Occasional dry hits remind me that I am dragging too deeply or too soon from LAST drag...gives a SUPERIOR CLEAN hit when the moon is in the 7th house, and Jupiter is aligned with Mars...which isn't often enough...for the alpha price, not bad...but I would expect a LOT better performance for MSRP -discount =$9.00

CE5 ....Cleaning

OK I ran 14ml thru the CE5 (it was all I used*for 4 days)
& it was starting to get "the dirty coil" taste when getting low or on fresh BATT.

I took the coil/tube cap out & soaked the whole thing in some dist. water overnight .
Transferred to a bowl of super hot tap water ...let soak for an hour or so. Dried everything w/paper towels.

I tried to get the tank off & tried to remove center tube &
to pull filler type material out of center tube ....none of these parts would move

So I ended up just folding strips of paper towel...till I got small pads, just the right size to work down around the center tube & left them to soak up what water they could & I blew thru it both ways a few times. Let it sit a few hours & amazingly it dried out pretty well (ptowels were wet)...

I dry burned (off & on) for awhile, checking batt a few times for excess moisture ...by the time it quit hissing I could see the coil & interior, pretty well in my magnifier & I could also see light thru it, when off batt ...

So after I got coil & interior all white & clean I used an interdental brush & pushed it gently down both sides of coil, to remove ash & to line coil back up to center (where I could NOT see thru it anymore) hoping to avoid leaking...

tapped upside down to remove ash...put a few drops of juice in center, worked cap back in & down on center tube & refilled, replaced tip, blew thru on p towel & added batt & VAPED !!!

WAAAALA ! GOOD AS NEW ~ back to hissing & has great flavor again !! YAY !

soak, DRY OUT, dryburn, refill ...

So these are cleanable & after the first time ,experimentation process & all,
it would be about as much work as the CE2's ViViNovas etc .
The drying out just makes for a longer wait time.

All & all I'd say... these are usable, work great , have good flavor & vapor production & are cleanable.
....but they HISS a lot & are NOT as "wick accessible" for cleaning which adds to dry time....
....but the dry time is probably an except-able trade off for those that have dry hit issues** w/Stardusts.
These do seem to wick better than Stardusts.

* 650mAh Ego's/Rivas & juice was DIY Hypnotic (clear) all Vg .
**I think dry hit issues arise when using higher voltage than Ego's tho.
Cuz I don't have those issues w/Stardusts. But I read others DO,all over the forum .

The more I come across these coils that are off centered
(where you can see light thru carto or that coil is off to 1 side)
the more I am apt to think that,"that" is what's causing leaking & dumping of these things
(when you know it's not a crack in tank).

So next time one dumps/leaks on you... pull the little coil cup off & look in there and see if you can see if the coil is centered in the middle.

I do believe that in most of these devices, the coil being centered over the hole keeps it from leaking.

and sorry don't know about flavor changes, I just put same flavor back in.

got my ce5 yesterday and aready ready to trash it. the up side is i like the way it looks on an ego bat(this is the first of this kind i have used), doesnt leak, and holds alot. the down side is it is very noisey and gives of very little vapor. it is airy like sucking on a straw with a hole in it. had my friend try it w/o telling her my thoughts and she said basicly the same thing.

i will stick with my fluxo's so please dont change them, im a fluxoaholic as is my friend :)

Feel like I am the only person up in zombie land. 2 nights in a row. Night all.

You're not alone. I've been spending so much time staying up that I passed out last night at around 11 pm and woke up at around 11 am today. Hubby says I fell asleep holding my tablet and kept it upright for nearly 30 minutes  I remember waking up in the middle of the night because it was yelling at me for letting the battery run down.

Can't believe they haven't dropped yet.
