I wish it was the color one... naaa justa reader ...it does surf web etc but insanely tedious...ooops I better quit .....in' ...karma ya' know ...........

I have the reader too....hubby has the tablet and he's been increasingly frustrated with it......but, I don't know what he expects...he uses it like he would a desktop for the most part :glare: They all get bogged down over time and need a little tlc from time to time ;)

Awesome, glad I could help! Tablets can be fussy things. I don't have a reader, but I do have a 7 inch tablet with the Nook and Kindle apps on it. I actually use Lumibooks most of the time since it reads both formats plus pretty much everything else.

Okay, where's my shineys? My husband just got his check cashed and the debit card loaded up, I wanna throw money at you GV!!

The cord is around 4'

It will depend on what the PC supports on it's USB ports ... If it doesn't provide at least 1.5A, then no, I wouldn't recommend it, use a USB power supply instead

So USB 3.0 is really the only one safe to use for the maximum voltage. My PC is 2.0 and I'm getting a new laptop with 3.0, but I don't want to risk killing that. So, I'll just use a wall port.

I'm so tech challenged it's not funny. I have a cell phone but use it as an address book and a clock. Haven't had service to it for about 1.5 years.

My tablet has lines on it and requires a pen/pencil/crayon etc to use properly.
I have several nooks, also many crannies and they all need dusted far more than they actually get.
I haven't kindled anything in a very long time.
I've seen some looney books in my day, but never heard of a lumibook. Sounds like something that glows in the dark! lol

I say get a powered USB 3.0 hub and have a vaping party.

Something like this:
Newegg.com - SYBA SY-HUB20062 SuperSpeed USB 3.0 4-port Hub

Electrical
Signal 5 volt DC
Max. voltage 5 V(±5%)
Max. current 500–900 mA @ 5 V (depending on version)
5A for Battery Charging devices

Power The USB 1.x and 2.0 specifications provide a 5 V supply on a single wire from which connected USB devices may draw power. The specification provides for no more than 5.25 V and no less than 4.75 V (5 V±5%) between the positive and negative bus power lines. For USB 3.0, the voltage supplied by low-powered hub ports is 4.45–5.25 V.
A unit load is defined as 100 mA in USB 2.0, and 150 mA in USB 3.0. A device may draw a maximum of 5 unit loads (500 mA) from a port in USB 2.0; 6 (900 mA) in USB 3.0. There are two types of devices: low-power and high-power. A low-power device draws at most 1 unit load, with minimum operating voltage of 4.4 V in USB 2.0, and 4 V in USB 3.0. A high-power device draws at most the maximum number of unit loads permitted by the standard. Every device functions initially as low-power but the device may request high-power and will get it if the power is available on the providing bus.

Wow, that made me dizzy. I need to sit down and use a rotary-dial phone or something to re-orient myself.

Way too expensive for me.
I just ordered this:
Amazon.com: AmazonBasics Wall Charger with USB Outlet (2.1 Amp Output): MP3 Players & Accessories

The required amount of power that could be needed depending on what the ohms resistance of the vaporizer you use was discussed at length in this thread... search for "USB" to find that info...

What Sev00 just mentioned wouldn't work if your PC only provided up to 900mah which is the standard set for USB 3... Some, but not all, newer PC's will provide more than that amount on their USB ports but it needs to be verified first...

Example of why what Sev00 mentioned won't work usually... at 4.8v ( highest setting ) with a 1.7 ohm vaporizer you would need over 2.8 a of power.... using a 3 ohm vaporizer brings the amp requirement down to 1.5 a...

People that have tried using it on a 1a power supply have reported varying results ( some worked and some did not ) and it also limited how much voltage they could vape at which was dependant on the vaporizer's ohm resistance. So I wouldn't recommend less than using it with a 1.5a supply and actually suggest a 2a if you are having to purchase new.

If you don't know how much output your PC's USB ports support... don't risk it

I will be impressed when the Alpha program offers this product. I made this a couple of months ago... Maybe we can work out a deal.

I placed an order this morning, so that means that we will have a new release today.... Kind of reminds me of the days when we could smoke in restaurants, and if you got tired of waiting for the main course all you had to do was light up a smoke and viola, here comes the food:)

ooohh! Black ViVi Nove. Very Nice!

Sev

Yes,thanks. It looks great on all my black box mods, the black Provari, and of course the black Rocket. I have had that tank on the Rocket for as many weeks as I've had the Rocket. I rebuild the head and just adjust the voltage to the sweet spot. I've got to say if the Rocket died today I got my money's worth out of it. I take it everywhere with me when I head out.
