Robl45 - re: C8 juice in mouth - I get that once in a while - I suspect (like with Vision mouthpiece) it is condensation, not actual juice leakage. Thanks to earlier posters here, I have adopted the habit of a slight puff INTO the mouthpiece before hitting the fire button, and that has greatly reduced the number of "juicy hits" I get, also eliminates the dry hit harshness.

I have been hypervigilant for leaks on this carto, haven't experienced any since it got broken in (somewhere after half a tank). First fill was sideways, I couldn't fill it all the way due to dribbles from the second fill hole; cured that problem by leaving one of the plug nipples in place on refilling, just twisted the plug sideways enough to insert syringe needle and fill SLOWLY upside down, leaving only a small air bubble (works better than totally full, which seemed to encourage leaking into the battery connection). Since then it's been working great for me. Thanks to all the people who posted about their early experience.

I am using this C8 on regular old eGo batts, probably 10-12 fills or more by now. Loving the churro juice I put in it so much, I have not yet tried cleaning it. I find it is not suitable for chain vaping but it sure is nice in rotation of multiple PVs (flavor junkie, I am). Flavor remains consistently good, AND it's conservative on juice consumption. I wish there had been caps available, if so I would be more inclined to take it out of the house.

It seems the v3 is a vast improvement; I didn't experience earlier versions, having somehow missed the product announcement. I have a second C8 that I haven't filled yet, hope it is as nice as my first. I think the flavor is great (at least, it is fantastic with my aged churro juice from AltCig - very true taste) - although it was frustrating during the break-in period. I am glad I stuck with it through that initial phase, a couple of weeks have passed since then and I really like it.

More later, but I wanted to post in favor of the C8 so far. I wonder how many v1 and v2 users were too burned out by the early problems to bother trying v3?

Chris, check the specs on your car adapter, it doesn't put out enough power. Common car adapters are only 500mAh and can't provide enough power for a PT like this mini which has no battery. With a "straight" passthrough like that, you need a lot more than 500mAh, which is only suitable for charging batteries. IIRC you need a 2amp car adapter to pull 5 volts.

Using other PTs that have a battery inside, you are actually drawing all the necessary power from the battery when you use it, and the car cord just recharges the battery.

You're not alone in this; can't tell you how many posts I have seen about this very problem. I have multiple 500mAh car adapters. They work fine for recharging the eGo passthrough batteries with the mini-USB connection but they are useless for powering a true "straight" PT.

I am going to order this one...

If the tank is empty, unscrew the top then screw the bottom into your pv wiggle the tube off then do the same with the metal one. the scorpion wick is just laying there on top of the smaller ones.. then just reassemble

Infinitely better. Thanks. :)
Though the Nova is better by a long shot.

well I pretty much blow in after every hit in order to not get dry hits. I don't necessarily think its condensation, I've gotten that with the ce2's before but this is more like sucking the juice through a straw. like it just overwicks or something would be my best guess on it. i probably should break out another one and see how that one does.

Oh, no, this isn't condensation...it's definitely that shocking taste of a mouthful of juice. Mine just did it after just laying on the desk for half an hour.

I had the same issue. It just dumped my liquid all over.
I fixed it by pushing the metal tube a ton and I heard a snap. No more leaking after that.

After doing the mod for the wick i had to go to the store...when I got back and saw these comments about leaking I put the scorpion on again and had leaks as well. Disappointing to say the least, but I did notice that on the one that was modded the center tube was sticking up a little so I took my littlest hammer and tapped it back down a bit. I have two of the scorps one modded and the other not. I was getting gurgling from both and leaking...even after hammering the center tube back down on the modded one...and of course leaking from the positive post. What I have done now is pushed the center positive post in a little and so far no leaking, no gurgling. But, the one that is modded was leaking around the area where the tube was removed to do the modification.

I removed the dummy wick from the other scorp, so I guess you could say they are both modded. But, on the second one I did not take anything apart. I simply unscrewed the top with drip tip and with tweezers removed the dummy wick.

I'll have to wait a while and see if all is well.
