Sole revisted
After the first tank, I refilled and continued on. About halfway through the second tank, I started getting dry hits and diminished vapor. The vape was becoming less and less satisfactory. After that, I filled again, changing juice. At this point I still haven't cleaned it yet, but I wanted to put something in that I know would give a good TH. On the positive side, the flavor of the new juice came through rather quickly. After just a few drags, Hush was replaced with home brew pipe tobacco. The TH and vapor production did not improve, however.
Then it happened. I had been carrying this little guy in my shirt pocket for two days with no issue. I reached to pull it out, and it had leaked. Not a big dump, just enough juice to put a half-dollar size stain on my pocket. Given the performance out of the box, (very satisfying, if a little light on the TH) and the steady diminishing of that performance midway though tank #2, my assumption thus far is that the gunking up of the coil is the culprit. Since air intake is on the sides, I am thinking the vaporization is just not able to keep pace with the wicking, causing an overflow through the intake. Funny, though, no gurgling.
I pulled the tank off today, and fearing that air drying would take forever if cleaned with water, I filled it with pga, and shook it well, blew a couple puffs through it, dumped it, refilled with pga, 10 minutes of shaking an puffing, then dumped and set it out to dry. Hopefully this will be enough, and it will regain its former glory.
I then filled my second tank with my home brew, and it is kicking well. If this cleans well, we definitely have a winner on our hands, imo. If these turn out to be one tank ponies, I would like to see the capacity increase by 50%, to maximize usage.
I was originally stoked at the idea of putting a 510 adapter on this battery, but now, I think I would rather have the opposite, an adapter that would let the tanks be used on 510. I think I would love to put around 4.2 volts through this thing. ( but I will still get the 510 adapter for these batts, especially if we get a higher mah battery)
Overall, I give the Sole a resounding thumbs up, followed by a big Hoorah if the tank performs well after cleaning.
