Well that was the issue, as long as it stays very tight into place this system works well. I dont know if it is tolerances or just design that causes it to losen up with use. I however have not had that issue since I used pliers to tighten it up more. It has slightly muted flavor, but not a horrible amount and your average user will never notice. It works on all my eGo batteries and my mods without issue and looks damn cool to boot. Here is a quick capture with my phone on a V1 Telescope with adapter.

APOLLO E2 6ml tank Replaceable Tank & Stem/Coil STAINLESS on SMOKtech TELESCOPE

I do not see any reasons not to stock this coming from the will the consumer be happy end. Stressing the center post needs to be put firmly into place or if needed making the threads match up better on the base to coil post would be my only suggestions at this point.

The issue I had with mine was that if you let it sit idle for prolonged amount of time it started to leak. At first it didn't leak at all (Hadn't taken it apart yet) then 2 days of non use had a puddle of juice under it. So I took it apart, cleaned it, let it dry, put it all back together and then same thing happened about 3 days this time. Not saying this happens for every one and could be defective but I would watch it and report back to let us know!

Mine has been sitting for days without issue.

It started with it on the mod. I hadnt used the whole unit (Battery and Tank) for a few days. Uncrewed it and puddle of juice in the cup. So cleaned it up, used it, and then took it off the battery when I was done thinking that having it on the battery was causing the issue. Another few days later had a puddle under it.

I a going to double test mine just to make sure I didn't miss it out of cleaning habit. Thanks!

ZMax

My ZMax V2 Just arrived. The manual is identical to the one I got with the Z1, it doesn't mention the 8th menu. The 8th Menu is there though It's called 8.NA and the options are NEA and RNS. I'm guessing the Ns are because they can't display an M on the LED display so they stand for "MEAn" and "Root Mean Square".

I'm beginning to test it now.

Correct. And that 8th menu option set to "RMS" makes all the difference in the world! :)

Very cool... I've been wondering what their acronyms were standing for. One of the brick and mortar stores here in Okla already has these. I'm not certain that I'm going to get one though, I can already adjust down to the lowest wattage I use with the v1 but still it would be nice to see accurate Vrms values instead.

Vision TOX V3

While running the ZMax V2 through the gauntlet I decided to compare it to the Vision TOX. I was a little surprised at what I got....

TOXLR_zps57e8c4b3.png

TOXHV_zpsced05b00.png

The first set was with a low resistance coil. The second set was high resistance.

The TOX puts out a straight DC signal so ignore the duty cycle. The Vavg and Vrms numbers are from my new scope. The two numbers are a little different because the DC signal is pretty noisy. Ignore the rest of the chart as it's all based on calculations that assume the resistance didn't change from my first measurement.

The Vrms column shows that the TOX really struggles at the top end. This was with an AW IMR 18650. The battery indicator on the TOX showed about 60%-75% charge.

It really does struggle at the top

Did as suggested and left my unit sit for days without touching it at all. Checked on it last night and juice is running down the side of my battery. Must have taken longer since the juice in the tank was fairly dense. Took it apart to double check the center post, making sure it did not come loose for some reason and found everything as it should be. I decided to cut a thin strip of teflon tape and put it on the tiny thread section of the center post. Everything is back together now and it is half full of juice as before. I have it sitting by itself inside a plastic container, I plan on leaving it there till Monday before I check on it to see if I am still getting leaks.
