Bad....you are going to have the replaceable innards for the Esco tanks.....right?? I have one of the tanks...like it...will definitely be ordering more (love the colors). Just popped the coil on mine this morning trying to dry burn it.

Y'all need to order these tanks when they go up.....they hold 5-6 ml. I have not experienced any juice darkening, and they have great taste. Looks like a little lava lamp on top of your PV.

Ooooh yeah!! Waiting for this to drop and going to get one of those PTs and at least one of these tanks. 5-6ml, on a PT, at my desk at work...now that's nirvana:)

That black wire is soldered to the itty bitty gold tab at the bottom end where the cap screws on. Look at the power up/down buttons then follow a straight line to the bottom thread end. You'll see the gold tab.

I think I'd like to get one. I know LDavon likes them a lot. My problem is that the bottom coil Phoenixes have ruined me. I don't know if I can ever look at a top coil the same  I'll definitely take one for the team for the sake of testing.

Does the black wire still have the gold tab on the end? If so, find the small gap at the 'snap-together' side of the unit, pop it apart, slide the tab in so that it looks like the picture Tom950 posted, and snap the unit closed again.

IF you pulled the wire away from the tab, It's Solderin' Time! (W/ apologies to Ben Grimm of the F4. :D) If you don't have the tools, or a friend who solders, pop into an electronics repair shop. They'll resolder it for a minimal charge.

HTH!

Guess I gotta find somebody to solder it.. the gold tab is still in the bottom and the wire is pulled away from it... DAMN!! Thanks for the help, guys.. do you think a jeweler might do it?? I don't know of any electronics shops here,, I'm almost 100% SURE there's no electronics shops where I am. Maybe hubby knows somebody who could do it...

If your jeweler doesn't do it ya might wanna see if a local mechanic or actual electrician, anyone who does wiring of sorts would be able to solder it prolly doesn't have to be an 'electronics' shop  or ask the people at your local hardware store. They might know of someone for you

Or, this could be a learning experience for you! Get a soldering iron and try it. Weller is a good one. Remove the gold tab if you can, so you do not accidentally melt the plastic. Soldering really isn't "rocket science" either!
This is true !! I found I actually liked to do this sort of thing years ago. It's not that difficult. Try it, You'll like it
