I've been vaping on the new style VV PT for most of the evening and it is working very well, which doesn't suprise me.
It's already perfect for the eGo style carto's/clearo's such as the Stardust etc... really anything with that size diameter should fit it just fine as it is already... 510 style carto/clearo's work on it fine and if you add a threaded cone, it would dress up nicely. In fact, a DTC style tank with the proper threaded cone may even feel nicer in the hand with the added curve that would provide.
As I mentioned before... The extended base on this, compared to the Vorando, is a big improvement. I do suspect that someone with slightly larger hands than I have, would likely enjoy just about another 1/2" longer... someone with big mitts for hands, that extra 1/2" probably wouldn't be quite enough. With my thumb on the power button, the middle of my middle finger just opposite, my index finger sits just above the bottom sleeve on a Stardust and my little finger sits just below the end of the PT... really an almost perfect fit. I'll let the women here, who are likely to have smaller hands, describe how it fits their hands if they wish.... I believe beyond the longevity that this PT may have ( or not ), the egonomics will be the key points we can discuss the most.
To get full use out of this... I feel the minimum power supplied should be 5v and 2+ amps... This would allow just under a 10w vape. Some ( but not all ) of the newer computers can supply around 1.5a on a USB2 port and 2.7a on a USB3... The 120v to USB power supplies I was able to find seemed to top out at 5v 2.1a at most... I only looked at a few places so there may be a 3a or so available somewhere but I was unable to find one. A power supply that can provide 3a would allow up to 15w at the coil if the PT is capable of supporting that high of a wattage/amperage.
The cable exiting the bottom of the PT could use a little bit of a strain relief added to it.. I suspect they have some built into the unit but that wouldn't stop the cable from bending to sharply where it exits causing a failure at some point.
Again, compared to the Vorando, this is a step up... you get 4 power steps instead of 3 and the extra length of the unit just makes it much nicer to hold onto. I personally didn't care for the clearos that were included with the Vorando, so that is only a very minor plus at least for my own opinion...
