Looks like that would make packin' my 1000mAh Twists around easier. (Unless it had a massive tank on it.)

The only problem with this setup and a tank is the tank becomes heavier than the batt, so it wants to tip the wrong way. I believe thats what you meant, but I wasn't sure.

i appreciate all the feedback, ive been going back and fourth taking notes, to be honest the scorpion will go the way of the do-do, but the rocket can be upgraded and improved, so i took noted and spoke to one factory involved with the original unit and they will listen to suggestions if you all think its has a shot at improving to something worthwhile.

Yeah, my C8's are working great now also, and aren't leaking!

I think it's very worthwhile. If not for that leaking issue I'd still be using mine, all day, every day. I will be trying that spring stretching thing to see if it makes a difference. And maybe I'll try the adapter trick too. Just when I thought I had to give up on it!!

I have a DOA passthru. My assistant (wife) and myself just put the meter to it in both rainbow and blue mode. There is no current at all anywhere. I tried 5 different attachments and there was no response.
I am an Alpha member. This is what I signed up for. I am proud to be an Alpha member. This does not discourage me from further experimentation.
I am quite glad that I paid the small amount that I did and I dont have to submit a ticket and wait. ( I have never had to submit a ticket to GV in the past, I dont even know if they have a ticket system to be honest, as everything I've ever bought outside of Alpha has worked fine)
The Rocket alone has been worth the total cost of all the Alpha products I have purchased. So even though the Scorpion was a dud and the PT was a dud, the Rocket was priced so well that everything is ok as far as I'm concerned.
This is my official report as of 7/10/12

OT I just got call a gv fangirl in another thread lol What grade are we in? lol lol

oh btw the usb extension cord was a great idea. I have a 20 foot one I can walk around my livingroom with it, though not a good idea with the dogs :)

What is OT? I assume fangirl is a dedicated GV customer/member.

It would probably be a good idea to post what volt and mah the power source you are/were using when testing the PT

So, for those of you with 'dead' rockets... is juice leaking into them the common factor leading to their demise?

Mine is working 'intermittently'...there is still some sort of connection problem, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't, I did file the collar down flush, made sure the center pin was pulled down for alignment. I probably need to order an adapter and yes I also had to pull the spring on the battery cap to give it more tension, then the leaking problem.

OT is off topic. I think that's what a fangirl is. So I guess I am :) I had to get out of there before I got in trouble.

Yeah. Pop that bad boy open & see what makes it tick (or not tick in your case). Take pics while you're at it. :)

OT = Off Topic

Fangirl/boy is someone rabid about a company's product. Frequently used with "Apple ..." preceding it.
