C8V3---I was. Ready to write these things off last night, I was so frustrated!!

tank "a"--
So, I removed the plug, left them sitting upright overnight, and tried them again this morning...first, without the plug, which caused flooding and gurgling..I then replaced the plug....and WOW!!! I managed to get nice long 6 second draws!!!

If I could be assured that every draw would give this vapor, the C8 would be my favorite tankomizer! But to get to this point takes some patience and dedication!

tank "b"
I used the same procedure, but I cannot get it to work properly, still getting dry, burned tasting hits...will continue to fiddle with it

Well....it sounds as if they really need to find a way to combine C8V1 and C8V3. Bring back the performance of the V1 with the non-juice dump of the V3. I'd love to know what all they changed in each of the versions. I've heard a lot of people mention how much they loved the v1's and their only issue was the leaking.

I agree. If not for the dump issues, the V1 would be hands down my favorite tank. Flavor and intensity were off the charts on that thing, as I recall.

I remember Davon dismantling a C8, I wonder if the v.3 stopper system on the v.1 body would produce just that effect. I'm just afraid of really screwing up a good vaping, juice dumping v.1 in the attempt. The 2 v.1s I originally bought are still going strong after all this time. I have been vaping 'lighter' (non-sweet) fruit flavors through them (at no greater VG ratio than 50/50 - usually 70/30 or 60/40), so that may contribute to their longevity.

Of course, we're just spittin in the wind here, the V1 is a fondly remembered ghost, but wasn't that the only change they made on the V2, putting that stopper system in place to stop the dumps? Or at least the biggest change. That's what started the dry hits on the V2, if I remember correctly.

one of my c1's has a tight draw, think its been like that since i got it, cleaned it last night with hotwater and dryburned, still tight, like your mouth will be sore from sucking on it. The other I've never cleaned and its much lighter draw and works great.

The c8V3 is inbetween, I have like 7 tanks through it now, I put the rubber cap back on today because i'm at work and the hits have not really been dry, not with great flavor either but its a bit better.

That's what I recall, the new stopper was supposed to help the dumping issue, but much more of a dry hit problem. Weird thing is as my V2's got older they had far fewer dry hits even with the stopper in.

of course they did, as they got older and got more clogged, more juice was passing through unburned. Same reason you get less dry hits if you turn the voltage down on the C8v3's.

I realized this morning I filled my v3 w/ a 100% VG juice instead of my usual 60/40 pg/vg. When I get to the bottom (or near it) I'm gonna refill it with the usual blend & see if it makes a difference.

Couldn't wait. When I got down to half a tank on the C8 I topped it off w/ 100% PG juice. BIG difference at the lowest setting on my Alpha passthru. No dry, burnt, nasty hits... yet. I'll cycle through the voltages and update again later.

anyone else getting juice in the mouth on the c8v3? I think its puddling maybe around the rubber stopper. I turned up the voltage and that seems to have stopped it, but dry hits are back.

Check what level you are/were at... I had it happen once so far with around 1/4 of a tank or just under... Oddly enough, that one started vaping like a champ after that and is still going strong... I'm thinking the leak was caused by air getting into the bottom coil when it was low enough and had set it on it's side... this one had my lighter colored juice in it

My other one, which I've only vaped down to about a 1/2 before setting it upright in a jar ( checking for leaking )... still gets regular dry hits and seems to be getting worse as it goes but I haven't vaped it as far as the one mentioned above either... I've tried opening up the seal temporarily to see if it helps with the dry hits, but if it does, it doesn't last long

Okay, so with the 50/50 mix it was good @ 3.0v as long as I didn't chain vape. Now, I've bumped it up to 3.6v & so far so good - as long as I don't chain vape.

The juice initially was Peach (unsweetened) @ 100% VG, then I cut it w/ Dekang Strong Mint 100% PG. Both are 'light' colored and flavored, so... we'll see.

what fun is that, chain vaping is where its at :) I think these really like higher pg mixes. its working okay for me now, now that I've run 8 tanks or so, its better, not spectacular, but better at least that i'm getting okay hits.

For these I was using a standard fully charged eGo battery. So less than 4 volts. I have tried to use it without the plug, but its honestly a fail in my book. The Vivi Novas are just so simple it makes me lose all interest in playing with these too much. I will eventually though, as I love to tear stuff apart!

i have been using my c8 for 2 days now. The first day it was giving me dry hits so i started blowing in it every other hit and that seemed to work well. today so far i have only had to blow into it a couple times

You give me hope for the future. What voltage(s) have you been using them at?

I've been vaping my C8v3 at 3.6v using the VV passthrough... I basically just adjusted the voltage until my juice was tasting the best it could... perhaps I should have dropped down to 3.3v when I started getting more dry hits on the one with darker juice in it...

I'm simply using the VV PT because I don't have to dig out my 510-eGo adapter for my main PV ( which does have a kick in it )

Yes, it happened a couple times when I thought I might have turned it upside down...not sure why this is happening.
