I'd be willing to bet there are more than a few of us on that diet

Yup, I am on that diet as well!!!

 Yep. I thought so. And for me, the advantage of being over 50 and single is that I just don't care about being dirt-poor, wearing funky clothes, and feeding my dog better than myself. I think of it as "Bohemian". And vape on. :vapor:

Haha, so I'm not the only one?! :) I wouldn't be able to make it from morning to the time I got home from work without a battery change if it weren't for the fact that I always have two 18650 devices with me at all times!

I ordered 6 of the panasonic IMR Hybrid 18650s the other day, so I just carry an extra batt and atty w me at all times. The other day I didnt have a freshly charged batt, so I grabbed a 2nd device (we were going swimming so I was in a bathing suit, trust me this is pertinent), I dropped it in my pocket, stepped outside w no shoes, feet were burning I jumped in vehicle, extra PV falls out of pocket and I didnt know it. Luckily it turned out to be inside the vehicle between the seats. Point is for 15 mins I panicked thinking for the first time in 6 months I may of lost my 1st pv ever. I'm one of those guys who has never lost wallet (knock on wood), so now I believe I would rather lose a batt and atty than a extra pv.

Yep, I have 4 of those batteries that I rotate and I love them!

I always take my Vmod XL with me (which holds 9ml of my all-day vape) and one of my other 18650 devices with a tank on it, and then I have one of those small zippered eGo cases with me containing a spare battery, a 2nd full Vmod XL bottle, 3 cartos, a tiny bottle of juice to prime a new carto, a few q-tips and as a last resort a 1000mah eGo-C battery and a stardust filled with stronger nic juice. Backups for my backups! :)

Yeah, not making fun of anyone, but I never understood how some people lose so much stuff? I've never even lost a Bic lighter!

I have my SS card in my wallet, where its been since I first got it when I couldn't even tell you how young I was. Well over 20 yrs. Watch, now I'm going to lose my wallet after this thread.
My wife is like that, i love her to death but I be darned if her head wasn't attached she would leave it behind. Its one of those quirks one learns to live w after 14 yrs of marriage. It drives me nuts. The other day she left and a few mins later I go outside for something and I see this bright green thing in the driveway, turns out to be her house keys. I'm like "how did you drive away without half your keys"?
It sounds to me like your ready for a 2 day trip. I thought a 9ml bottle topped off, 2 18650s, and a fresh atty just in case was pushing it. I guess I'm right on par for a 4 hr outing.

SOLDERING UPDATE!! Fired up the soldering iron today. Managed to get that itty bitty tiny wire soldered onto that itty bitty tiny piece of metal. Got that IBT piece of metal into the slot. Put the two halves together and couldn't get the battery in. That little speck of solder was in the way. Hubby, not knowing what he was doing, forced the battery in and ripped the plastic wrapping on one of the batteries... and now how ya gonna get it out of there? Took it apart again, got the battery out and smoothed out that tiny piece of solder that was sticking up and put it back together. Now the batteries go in but it won't fire. Fiddle with the bottom cap and it fires. Well, it fires sometimes. Most times, not. I don't like this intermittent behavior. I won't use it when it's not working 100%. So I'm in mourning. I really loved that thing :( Totally my fault for tearing it apart in the first place, but I wouldn't have done that if the juice hadn't leaked all inside the thing. That's the one and only fault with the Rocket.. it's not sealed around the top of the connector and if you happen to get a leaky tank, all the juice goes inside. Easy enough to prevent, if you know that up front... I would have put some sealant around the top when I got it and avoided this whole mess. Dang,,, nuthin worse than a dead Rocket

You mean put sealant between the top of the connector and the black plastic area at the top of the device?

Yes.. I watched a video where a guy took it apart, carefully lifted the 510 connector thingy out, put some sealant on with a toothpick and put the connector back in. Put a little sealant on the other half and put the whole thing back together.. then wipe off the excess. It was very easy to do and sealed that space between the housing and the connector (I don't know what else to call it). I think it could probably be done without taking the whole thing apart and risk tearing the wire off the bottom of the tube like I did.

Excellent! I'm sorry for your troubles. You know what I mean. Do you know where the video is? I have begun building box mods, so if I could watch this video I could recreate what he does, and possibly help others from having the same problem.

It depends. I've certainly purchased things right off the bat, especially if it's a hot item that will go out of stock quickly.

I will wait if I have something in my cart that I don't have to have and I know something I really want is supposed to drop soon. For instance, I had a pack of phoenixes and an 808 to 510 adapter in my cart, neither were emergency items. I had no idea that the adapter would go out of stock, ugh. But, I went ahead and ordered since nothing was dropping today.

I also hate paying shipping on a low price item. I prefer to spend at least $20 at a time and get some bang for my buck. Not a lot of time has passed since I was literally counting pennies for gas money and it's given me a complex of sorts. I cringe every time I make a small purchase and the shipping costs half as much as the item.

I completely understand and agree!! I do a fair amount of online shopping, not just ecig stuff. It can really mount up quickly! If I have a coupon for a dollar off, I think that's a big deal. :D

Y'all are my kinda gals! Of course everything is perspective. At this point I'm still trying to get my SSI and would feel rich nearly the point of decadence if I had a miniscule SSI check. But it'll get better, and as always God takes care of me!

Luvin, wow, so sorry you're havin so much trouble with your rocket.

Thanks....I'm completely bummed about it. I'll probably put it away for a couple days and go back and look at it later. I'm 99% positive I put it back together correctly but ill have to post a pic here when I can get one and see what everyone thinks.

Hey, Deb, we are really in the same boat right now - I haven't had a check in two months. "Re-evaluation", doncha know. When I get it, I will definitely feel rich - and will immediately buy vaping toys!

And, Luvin, I, too, am sorry about your rocket - especially since you loved it so much... :( Hope you manage to fix it somehow.
