Order placed on Saturday, arrived today... wow.

CE5 Initial thoughts....

device:
2.5 amp lavatube set to 4.2v

Juice:
Vape Dudes Fuzzy Navel 16mg 70pg/30vg extra flavor

Filled her up to 1.6ml mark, took a hit... love it. Draw is a little tighter than all of my startdusts, but I think the stardusts are too airy. Great flavor average throat hit, lots of vapor. First 10 hits... awesome. Bumped voltage up to 4.6 burt dry hit but not as bad as I get with the regular CE2s. Voltage back down to 4.2 hitting nice again. I am getting dry hits if I chain vape it. Juice already down to 1.1 ml, topped it back off to 2ml, as I see no reason to limit this to the 1.6 mark. Hits great, but does dry hit if I keep hitting it for 10 seconds straight... but so does every other clearo I have ever used. Have not tried the replaceable head stardusts yet, just got some today, but this would replace the V1 short and long wick stardusts as my go to clearo.

Wondering if in the next version you could fit the innard into a replaceable stardust tube, with the screw-off base and have screw in replaceable innards in different ohms, as I too have a feeling that cleaning these will help keep them going longer, but am doubting being able to clean them good enough to switch flavors... only time will tell.

Pros:
-Great Flavor, best I have had this juice taste. Taste cleaner than a carto, and stronger flavor than a stardust.
-Easy filling

Cons:
-Some light gurgling and juice being spit into my mouth, not a lot, not a biggie to me.
-Cleaning??? (time will tell)
-no replaceable parts

I received my CE5 and have it running on my miniego passthru. I have never liked the stardust/vision type cartos due to dry/burning hits. But, so far the ce5 is wicking very well, no dry hits at all as long as I stay under 4.2v. On my Ego twist, it is putting out even more vapor. Flavor wise, the ce5 by far puts out the best flavor of any this style carto I have used in the past. I am concerned about cleaning. If the price is low enough and I can get a min. 1 week from the ce5 I would be fine to toss it and buy a fresh one. I dont typically do well cleaning and reusing any type of cartos. I am curious to see how it holds up after the juice drops below the second set of holes. If it continues to vape as well as it is now, I will for sure buy more of these!

Although the T-shirts are not Alpha, they are good quality. My 'I Smoke Batteries' arrived with my order today and I'll be out and about it when it gets out of the dryer! :) :vapor:

I received my Vaping kicks ash T today also.
In my order was the Ce5/stardust clearo. I filled it w juice, put it on my eGo batt and on my first draw I got at least a 1/2 ml in my mouth. I opened the top and there was a thin silicone ring sort of hanging there. It was not the one that rests on the drip tip itself. I believe it belongs under the top ring. I had to remove it as it was hanging in the opening. I tried to put it back in its original position, but it is fastened somehow when its manufactured and therefore impossible to replace without taking it apart. Now the draw is so tight its unusable as its juice in the mouth every time. I tried putting a long 510 extension to let air in and it had no effect. I am going to call this a dud, for now. I have been using Stardusts since the beginning, so when I get to it I will see if I can bring her back.

I have had 3 days of great success with the C8. I have used it on all diff devices and its all around a good clearo so far. I am glad I ordered several.

The CE5 does seem to have a bit better performance out of the box than the stardust as some of you are seeing.

Let me know how it develops for you, let me know if you develop any leakage issues in a day or so...leakage would have us back to the manufacturer besides which we have to figure out if this thing can be fairly easily cleaned to give it a reasonable amount of longevity. I am sure no one wants to toss one of these after a couple of days or so (unless we can get the price down on them)...

But yeah--I was a lil bug-eyed and surprised my first tankfuls through on this, was pleasantly surprised with it.

Yes exactly--if you can get a good 4-5 days or so and the price on them is right, you can justfy just tossign them and moving through a pack of them serially with the good performance they give...the other issue is leaking...keep an eye out for leaking, mine started to leak after a bit...

That's the weird thing....I didn't have any juice leaks. It just stopped working.

Shouldn't be a problem getting a replacement as it has to be a defective unit. Have you contacted GotVapes yet? I can't imagine they would give you any problem even being in the Alpha program as the Rocket certainly isn't a Alpha product.

I had two of the same units with a different name shortly after they first came out in late March and one stopped working after a short time. I thought it was because of niquid so I flushed it several times and peeled a lot of paint so I couldn't return it. Only mention it because these do seem to have a high mortality rate.

In particular this part of the agreement... ( which is in bold btw )

Can agree that all products they might buy in the ALPHA program do NOT go through our regular ticket system and has no warranty whatsoever. We are providing these at a very low cost. We will have a sticky ALPHA thread to discuss the products. No starting a thread regarding the Alpha item.

Part of the Alpha program TOS you have to agree to is that there is no warranty on any Alpha products though.

Got your scope yet Errol?

Salky

I wasn't aware of that until this morning but still this isn't some $5 carto. This product has been on the market for months and somebody should be standing behind it. If GotVapes doesn't see this then I'm disappointing in them.

As I recall the Rocket was originally scheduled to go on the regular sight and at the last moment they decided to put it in the Alpha program. I bought my first VariStack for $30 when they first came out and my second one for $20 on sale a little later. While $33 may be a fair price for a kit it certainly isn't a bargain if you have to buy a second one. All I'm saying is fair is fair.

Got the scope last week but I've had problems with it so it's been of no value yet.

CE5- Got it filled with 50pg/50vg and using it on the little PT dongle. Vaped at all 4 levels, 4.8 a little off in flavor, guessing it may just be a little too hot for this particular juice. Flavor and vapor is great. Hoping the cleaning won't be an issue, but won't try switching flavor on this one as absinthe (black licorice) flavor is almost impossible to get rid of. No leaking so far and I've managed to drop this thing twice. :D

Thanks for the post rdsok. Yea, I wasn't aware of that when I was babbling on the other night but I read it this morning.

Still doesn't change my thinking about the VariStack by any name though. :)
