I'm all for that. Just make the outside large enough to extend past a 510 to ego adapter so I can get some exercise by hanging my Rocket around my neck. Something like this made of thin stainless. 510 slips through the large hole and locks it down when the cart is tightened and the small end is for the lanyard attachment.

I used to work in a machine shop and I really miss being around there now. I'd be going nuts makin all kinds a vapin goodies.

Could be functional, I have no knowledge on these things. I was thinking about the slim adapters that are about the same diameter as a pen style battery that would have a small ring to clasp a lanyard to. Nothing too large or loud, I'd want it to look natural like it's a part of the battery.

Glad I decided to check back in before calling it a night. Now I have the teeny tiny pass-thru from yesterday and red Sole headed my way. This should make a great errand-running set up. Plenty of juice in the batt and the tank for your average Saturday afternoon TCB'ing - or for mine, anyway - and the shape looks pocket-friendly. That will really depend on how secure the tank is.

I received my Ce5 and Dongle Passthru replacement vapemail yesterday. After 24 hrs of use it is safe to say that my original shipment of both items were definetly duds. I spend a lot of time here in front of this PC, and this Dongle couldn't be any more convenient. I have it plugged into a A/C powered USB hub, and it cycles thru the voltages as described. We are in the process of moving, so when we are settled in the new house I will put the meter to the Dongle to confirm that it is putting out the advertised current. Cons, IMO, it is too small. I am a big fellow with large hands and I am used to large APVs. This is something that time will correct as I get to using it on a daily basis. The button has stuck on a few times. I am going to attribute that to it being new and needing a bit of use to loosen it up. However in my extensive Ego months I never had a button stick in the on position. Other than that, as long as the cord/device intersection holds up, I can see this little guy always swinging from the PC.
Before I get into the Ce5 let me say that I have been a Stardust fan since their inception. Especially the first version. I have 2 of the first runs that are still in operation, 6 months later, whereas several of the newer versions have long since passed on. I have always modded them to improve the draw. I have run about 5 refills thru the Ce5 and it does not need the draw mod IMO. I filled it the first time and let it sit for a half hour, and noted that the juice level dropped about 25% without ever touching it. So IMO the internal wicking system absorbed a good amount of juice. I have been using this on my Rocket for 24 hrs and running it right at 4.1v, which seems to be the sweet spot. I have not had a single dry hit, and I chain vape. I did notice it getting warm a couple of times so I let it sit for a few before going back for more. It does seem to be a juice hog, but that is fine with me as I would rather use extra juice than have wicking issues or dry hits. One more thing to note, I had to use a 510 to eGo adapter to use the Ce5 on the Rocket and everything threaded together nice and tight, with minimal effort. When I tried to thread the Ce5 onto the Dongle it took some extra effort and will not thread on more then 3/4 of the way.
I will report back in a week or so after these guys are properly put thru their paces.
I would like to thank the powers that be for giving us the chance to buy another of the DOAs. I feel as if I paid normal retail prices for these devices given the fact that I purchased 2 of each at Alpha pricing.

Another thing I came up with, (mind you I no longer have most APV there only the VV ego)
The one on the left clips to my belt loop when hiking. Even with a tank it never tips or drips :D Even with my lil old skeeter mod.
All I would need is some vision cones and a trip to lowes, I could hook GV up faster then china. ;) Could string it just as quick.

Been bugging GV for almost 2 years now LOL why I was sitting on my hands...

just loaded my scorpion this thing rocks for vapor and ease of use.. not sure about the flavor since I hit it first with a pv that I am not completely familar with seem to be getting a ting of a wierd taste however the plume of vapor I am getting at 3.7 is kicking the vivi nova's ...

That's why I gave up on my two Scorpions. That ugly taste. I even took them totally apart and washed the heck out of them. Unfurled the inner wicks to see if that would help. But I could not get rid of the funky taste they produced. I did notice the wick material from the coil seems different from others. Kinda stiffer and more plastic like. I really think the wicking material is the problem.

Yay! I'm glad to hear that they're working so well for you! Wanted to comment on the button sticking. After the first day or so, mine was working fine. I haven't had another button sticking issue so I guess it just needs to be loosened up a little through use. Definitely not a common issue, but I believe that it does happen with some batteries. A battery I got from another vendor (sorry for cheating on you GV!) had some button sticking issues that I actually posted about here a while back. It's stopped so I imagine it was the same thing.

My Ce5 didn't absorb a lot of juice initially. I let it sit for about an hour and the level stayed the same. Once I started hitting it, though, it was like a freight train! I miss it already. I hate the idea of choosing my juice based on my carto and would rather choose a carto based on my juice as the juice is the most important thing to me when it comes to vaping. Not being able to use all of my juices in a carto is sort of a bummer to me, but this one would be worth it so long as I had others on hand. I have only one juice that won't work in a Phoenix and it's the chocolates. They just turn to tar at the end and are impossible to wick. They work great in the Stallions, so I just use those. I'd love to have one carto that is perfect for everything, but sadly my stone II is long since dead.

I looked and looked and am finally giving up searching. I know I saw a post on the operation of the Alpha PT. Just tried mine yesterday. I am only getting two colors to show up. Blue and Green. Is this the symptom of a wimpy power supply (I do not have a 2amp currently, and really don't want to put it in my PC) or a goofy PT. I'm assuming it's 4 clicks to change settings. That's what seems to work. Between the green and blue I get no lihght at all but it still fires a cart. Sorry for being repetative but I can't find that informative post this morning.

with the Soul Kits, isn't the plug going to snap fairly easily? with just a straight pin like that plugged into something, seems it would be easy to damage. Especially if used as a passthrough with a USB extension.

I doubt it will break easily but you still wouldn't want to be careless with it... I've probably gone through 4-6 Nokia cell phones and not once did I think I was about to break the power supply post... At the same time, being a computer tech, I've had a ton of clients break their 3/8" power plugs on their laptops because they were careless with them.

Hmm... wonder where I've put those old Nokia power supplies now that I think of them.... :D

Hi All!

Got my 1st Alpha product order.

1st let me say - super fast shipping! I'm so impressed! AND they included a piece of chewy candy - perhaps to sweeten me up?

I got the Scorpion which I haven't tried yet.

I also got the Dongle VV passthrough.
I love the look, small, cute (if such an adjective can be applied to a PV, this one definitely qualifies), easy to use. I use it with a 1-1.5 Amp wall wort.

The good news - I get all four voltages. It is super easy to switch between voltages and the change of LED color in the button makes it easy to know which voltage you are on. Button is soft and responsive - no sticking.

The not so good news - it is easy to accidentally change between voltages. Several times I've been trying to vape in the red and look down and notice it is blue/purple/green.
It also doesn't seem to vape at the voltage indicated. The green does not hit like 4.8, and the red does not hit like 4.2. I don't have a meter so I don't know if this is true - this is just what it feels like.
Although, this may be because I think I have a defective unit. The power stutters for me. The LED will flick out when I'm pressing it and then occasionally turn off or reset to blue. I'm actually finding it very difficult to get a good hit off of it because of the unpredictable reset and cutoff.
I tried it on my USB port on my computer thinking it may be the wall wort (although the wall wort works with my other passthroughs at 4.0V) but it continues to happen.

I do very much thank Got Vapes, not only for the opportunity to be part of the Alpha program - an exceeding forward thinking and progressive program - but also the ability to re-order another product when the first is defective.

I reordered the Dongle yesterday night.
I think this product - should it work correctly - will be an excellent seller. It has the potential to be a VV with an effectively infinite power supply (as long as you are by a power source). I could see using this quite frequently as I am frequently near my computer. It'll save my VV tube and batteries for being out and about - thereby helping them last longer.

Looking forward to making many more Alpha purchases and being a part of this thread and program!!!

:)

I received my first Alpha order yesterday. I received to Scorpion tanks, 1 CE5, a silver Rocket, and USB Dongle pass through. I have to say that shipping has never been an issue with GotVapes! You guys have your stuff together in that department for sure! Not only was it quick but it cost me $.03!!! With the shipping discount and newsletter discount I couldn't have asked for anything better!

I have been using my USB pass through on all four voltages for approximately 24 straight! I have an adapter to plug into my car, and it works flawlessly so far. It easily switches between voltages. Almost too easily if you take 4 quick hits though. I have learned not to hit it so fast though. :p I absolutely love this thing. I am saving so much time on my batteries. I have a nice powered USB hub at home at both my laptop and my desktop, so this thing is always being used. I have had no troubles with it so far. I do wonder if the voltages are accurate though? I don't have a meter to be able to test inline votlage though. This is next on my list of things to make though.

I have yet to try the Rocket out yet, but it seems simple enough. The voltage is easily changed in .01 increments. I plan on loading up a Scorpion later, and giving it a whirl. My lungs need a touch of a break from the USB usage though!!! I have used probably triple the juice I normally go through!

I will update on my usage with the products I purchased as I use them some more. I have to put these items through the ringer, and make them work for their name! So far, all is good though! Thanks.
