CE 5 arrived this morning. I'm on my third tank and I'm loving it. The beauty and easy fill of a Stardust and actual vapor, too! vaping 80%VG Hypnotic Mist. I have it on an eGo Twist at about 1/4 turn up from the lowest setting (even with my glasses on and a magnifying glass, I can't read the numbers). Chain vaping, no dry hits, no burnt hits. I do get a burnt taste if I max out the voltage on the twist. This seems to perform really well at moderately low voltage. Flavor is good, not stellar. Vapor is stellar. The whistling can get annoying, though. And when the juice level is below the bottom hole, tilting can only help so much...

If you just want to let it sit and absorb juice without fiddling with it, you have to let it sit for a really, really long time. There is a lot of wick in there, and it takes several hours - you'll see the level of the juice in the tank go down by about a third by the time it's done.

IMO, if you try to hurry and saturate the wicks from the top - dripping juice in there - all it does is wet the top part, and you'll get a couple of good hits and then dry-city. I don't know why it works that way, but I think you really just have to let it sit - as long as overnight - to get good wicking performance out of these.

Try it with your second one - you'll see. You don't even have to keep it horizontal during this initial absorbing stage. I had mine vertical the whole time. It's amazing how much juice these wicks take up.

If you let it do that, you probably won't have any problems with wicking. And, judging from personal experience, do tilt. Don't know why, but it makes a difference between constant dry hits, and really good wicking. I really haven't had any serious dry hits with these. I seriously don't like the very (to me) muted flavor on these, and mine leaked in a couple of days (from the top, for some weird reason), but the wicking was one thing that definitely was not a problem - provided you let the wicks do their work.
Removing the big wick might help your flavor :)

Hello. Nice to meet you all. Adrena was kind and let me into the alpha program way back end of May but this is my first post. I bought the passthrough (which I somehow lost shortly after I got it..had it on vacation but ? i think I had it back at home too but dunno wth happened!) But it worked very well for me, I really liked it and may get another. I don't believe I've tried out the scorpions yet and I'll read through to make sure I know well how to use it without leaking all over myself but any extra advice would be super.
Then just now, I was lucky enough to get the last red of the elips...so excited to try this!!
But question....I see the maximum on ordering the extra clearomizer is one.....But also I see if I place another order, it says I can order another.......is that ok to do?? If not, I sure won't. But it might be good for me to have the 3 total, the way I seem to lose things these days
Alrighty, well, good be a part of this and hope to be posting more often and meet some of you all. Gotvapes has been a go-to place for me for long while (guess not as long as I thought...dec of 2011 lol) but I've gotten a lot of great stuff here!
I guess that's about all :) THANKS! Hootz

Hello and welcome Hootie.

I have a real life user experience to share regarding the Rocket and the Ce5. Also I find it ironic how there are so many issues with the Rocket in general, and yet it survived the following incident. I have it setup with an eGo to 510 adapter so it can accept the Ce5. I just dropped it about 4 ft onto a tile floor, and the only result is that the Ce5 now sits a bit skewed. No leaking, no broken plastic, I believe physics worked in my favor this time because it should of exploded upon impact after a fall like that.
I pride myself on taking great care of all my devices. On the 20th of this month I reached my 6 month mark of exclusive vaping. I have at least 8-10 PVs and this is the first time I have dropped any of them. So there you have it, a real life Alpha test case that passed with flying colors.

I believe the intent ( it isn't a rule per se ) of limiting the number you can order is so more people have an importunity to test a type of item since different people will vape differently... If you order more on other orders it would defeat that purpose.

When a user has ended up with a defective product, they have been encouraged to order a replacement if they wanted... the vv passthu was one example. I'd think that losing one would be similar to that...

Oh, no, this isn't condensation...it's definitely that shocking taste of a mouthful of juice. Mine just did it after just laying on the desk for half an hour.

yes, thats what I'm talking about, lay it down for a bit on its side, I usually leave them on their side after bad experience with V1 version of the c8, then I end up sucking juice. I don't know if its necessarily from it laying down or whatever, just know that it happens and apparently I'm not the only one :)

I have been using my ce5 now for a full week and it has been great. No leaking or perfect wicking each draw. I didnt mess with cleaning. But getting a weeks use is cost effective enough to just replace it.

I have also been using the vivinova and am frustrated with it. Screw in the head, fill'er up, screw on top and vape. The problem occurs each time I have to refill. When I screw off the top cap it also loosens the headcoil. I cant reach in far enough with my fingers to retighten it. So, each time I have to take all 3 pieces apart to add juice and reassemble nice and tight. It would be great if they could design a snap in head so it would'nt loosen each time the cap has to be removed to fill. Other than that I love the v2.5 with the longer wicks. I had problems with wicking using the short wicks.

I too had that problem with the first set of heads I received, not so with my latest batch. May be depend on which heads you have there?

I have the same problem with my vivi's. A snap in head would be awesome!
