Vision TOX V3

Wo0+! USPS shows it out for delivery. It left Danno on the night of the 9th and will be in my gnarled mitts no later than 3 today. How can you beat 2 days... unless you have a stargate or summat. :D

1) I want a Stargate. That would be awesome!

2) :grr: You took my Tox!

3) My great and gracious magnanimous person forgives you for your undoubtedly completely benign oversight of taking my Tox, and sincerely hopes that your gnarled mitts feel better soon.

:p

Amigo Passthrough

And I would like to have a moment of silence for the passing of my Amigo passthrough.
It was a beautiful little fellow and his untimely demise has undoubtedly left us all in a state of woeful despair.

He expired a few days ago after an extremely short illness where he would only fire if I were holding him exactly at a 37 degree angle with a slight frontal tilt while singing 'Coming 'round the Mountain'.

I tried resuscitation by prying him apart and seeing if I could repair what seems likely was a loose wire, but to no avail. (The little bugger is sturdy!)

He was with me for ?2-3 months of almost daily service for hours everyday without fail.
Likely, in the future, I need to remember not to try and find a passthrough from the depths of my chair by pulling on the cord...

And so I am left in mourning...

I really am an open minded guy, I swear... Nice box. I split the device in half removing it from its foam bed. Put it back together. Almost broke the batt cover opening it the first time, because there are no rails inside for the cover to ride on. So with the absence of batts inside the cover will drop in to the void. I filled the clearo, let it sit for 10 mins and the first 2 draws were burning rubber. Ok set that aside and try another, trusted atty. It seems to work well, cycles thru the diff voltages, the LEDs respond properly. Lets try another atty. I again am getting a rubber taste. How can that be? There is no rubber present to burn. It is the air flowing thru the device and then thru the atty. I am tasting the housing of the device. There is a small hole in the top of the device to let air in. If you take a short draw on that hole you taste the same thing that is coming thru the attys. Chock this one up to taking one for the team.
Oh well at least I have an 808-510 adapter in case I ever need it. ;)

My receptionist decided the one I got was her's. I filled it with Hush for her and she seems happy. She's still a smoker though so probably can't detect any plasticky taste.

I really didn't know that gotvapes had a forum which is my bad. I've ordered almost every tank, clearo and several things from got vapes. I'd love to be part of your program. I just got to find the right person to pm for the request. Too many reasons to list here. Gotvapes has always done me good and my latest package should be here today. (happy dance.) There are several things I've seen that are for Alpha members only and I'd love to try them. It could be from a noobs prospective. I just know that vaping has changed so much in my life that it is important and I do help those who are willing to help themselves.

Clamp the ego end in a vise & grab the other with some vise grips. Wiggle. Separation should occur. Resolder & squeeze back together. Et voila!
p.s. Use padding on the ego end at minimum.

Vision TOX w/ Apollo 6ml tank

Your TOX is here! Your TOX is here!
Installed one of the AW IMR 18490s I use in my ProVari in it & BOOM, I'm vaping!
I am a bit cornfuzzled tho'... I though it was supposed to have a metal control head, but it's plastic. Real, black, plastic. :|
Eh, $10 bucks. It works. :)

p.s. A full 6ml Apollo tank makes it a bit top heavy... therefore 'tippy'.

Your unseemly glee is making me forget I am a magnanimous person.
:sneaky:

(Actually, I'm very glad it's working well for you... Maybe... *Humph*)

And thanks for the tip about separating the Amigo casing!
I mean, the worse that could happen is I kill it. More dead I mean...

Plastics or metal, you will love the tox :D
I love mine the button on the plastic one can stick but it works just the same and just as well as my metal one.
my trusted, tried and true maga vape... :2c:

I really like the weight, or lack thereof. Makes it handier. I'll be more likely to take it places I wouldn't take my ProVari. :)

Mine's plastic too. I like how it says "Goodbye My Master" when I shut it off. So far it's been working well.

Now that I reread my original post, I didn't mean to imply clamping the threads in a vise, but the area just below them - around the button.
