NON alpha questions ...
I thought since we were experiencing down time here I would ask you guys about an issue I am having & then I just saw another related type issue that I wanted to get your opinions on too...

Ok so my Taj ...the original coil would not meter worth a crap, it would jump around # wise & then sometimes it would just show 0000 so I changed the wick/coil to the 2.8omh one that came with the tank ...& it meters OK & solidly @ 2.74omh .....but It POP's & spits & gurgles & won't produce any vapor ??? It is over wicking if anything & the air flow seems fine ?? And I don't see any hot spots ...
I just can't figure out why it would act like this .....the POP'ing is freaking me out ! I can FEEL it as well as hear it .
I have been testing it w/an older ego ... cuz I don't trust it & cuz I had a BOLT switch burn up on me a few weeks ago & am NOW gun shy.

I just saw on FB where a GUY had a Hyper SRT explode on him today ...& the description of " explode" that was posted was way to close to what might be happening w/my Taj

hes said that he heard a loud pop while vaping on his zmax while he was taking a toot & the juice inside the tank and where the coil is caught on fire and that quick boom it exploded. he vapes at about 8.5 watts idk if there were other contributing factors? split it and sent hot juice all over.

so any ideas what might be going on here ????????

I think his issue was probably due to the ZMax more than the new ViVi Nova, but check yours out well just to be safe.

wow Kellys I'm sorry for your troubles you having there. I can't wait for some one smart to answer this cuz I haven't a clue. I don't have a Taj so I don't know about that part at all

My new SRT II is working so SWEET STILL ! Same wick and everything. No trouble at all, I don't have a reason for his experience either What juice inside the tank where the coil is are you talking about ? There is no juice up in the top chamber besides what's in the actual soaked wick itself on mine Is that what ya meaning ?

I get popping like that quite often when I use mesh wicks. I think it's actually the juice in the mesh kinda boiling and the gas bubbles bursting???? Really don't know for sure. Seems like the bigger the wicks and coils are the more chance for popping like that. i would not be too concerned. think it's more of an overwicking issue and maybe hotspots on the coil.

left the filling pin out ...just tried it on a se riva (true3.7)
& It did a little better & then on veri-stack @ 3.7 & 4.0 a little better still ...
idk maybe it is just a break in thing ..
and this coil is a lot bigger than I am used to in the small tanks/novas/e1's etc.

AG(AlmightyGod)& others, on the RBA forum seem to think it might just be water in my juice which is totally possible (I use diluted VG) that causes the POP .

I'll keep trying off & on & hope it breaks in ....The flavor is amazing !

I haven't used my taj much since I got it because the draw is extremely tight so I can't really help you there. I will say though that you won't see hotspots if the coil is wet.

I did look for those b-4 I put juice in just cuz the coil was bent out of shape from the way it was packaged & I had to straighten it out & re space etc...did not see any then ...

I am not sure but I think the draw was originally tighter ...but hubby pushed the pin all the way out, when I was dealing with it the first time & the 1st coil was acting up. I felt like the pin was crooked & leaning on the body up where it was extending into the tank...so he pulled it out and messed w/it & got it a little straighter & put it back together ...we also made sure the air holes were lined up top & bottom ...so you might look @ yours ...cuz that pin does move around easily.

I 2 have noticed a popping but I was using a Stardust that I re- wicked with cotton. The popping was quite loud and often but it worked really well and I used it till I had 2 change the wick

Hope everyone survived the Thanksgiving break. Amazing times all around. Broke out my Vivi Nova and am attempting to love the old CE top-coil yet another time.

Honestly the last time I loved one was my first GV CE style. Lasted forever I think it was 4 months. Washed dried thrived. Ever since... not the same love.

I will continue my quest, also I'm looking for SS Mesh to turn my SRT to a better functioning tank.

Its my fault for the amount of MODS i purchase.

Ive gone through 15 mods in the last 6.5 months. I just like the " newness" of the new stuff.

Im finishing up with my addiction to new mods though, i think i have found what i have been searching for.

Swap a Zmax V2 controller into a MVP body (or simply a DNA20 chip) and voila!

Im going to try to piggyback one more battery into it as well.

3900 MAH VW box mod/battery charger, personal grooming kit, and car scanner.

Hmmm.. Now im thinkin.
