X6 tank

I got this tank with my KTS kit before it went into alpha. My overall thought on the tank is good. It has nice flavor and creates a nice vape. The draw on it is king of airy. on a scale of 1 to 10, 10 being the tightest I would give it a 7, and it whistles a bit too. I've used this on my slb ego-v at 4.4v and kts at 3.7 v with Irish cream 50/50 juice (yummy), at the higher voltage I get a bit of a plasticky taste to it.

Last night I tried to clean the tank, and I'm sure. That was a funny sight to see. I unscrewed the coil and pulled out the wicks.. Now keep in mind the tank does not disassemble. I filled the tank with water a few time to rinse out the inside and use a compressed air keyboard cleaner thing to dry it. Then I had to put the new wick in... That was a pain in the bums, I ended up using a safety pin to push the wicks through the holes and get into the correct place. It's a bit of a process but not as bad as I originally thought. Overall I'm please with the tank, and I will probably pick up a few more while they are in alpha, but I don't think it will be a go to tank.

How's the juice separation with the long wicks? Separation is the main reason I stopped using long wicks, along with not being able to vape it dry.

X6 continued...

The vape seems pretty constant, I've been using it for about 3 days straight now and the only thing I've noticed is if I'm chain vaping for a while I will get an awkward taste. I will let it sit for about 2 minutes pick it back up and have no problems. Never had a dry hit or a burnt taste, only the awkward plastic taste at higher voltage (4.7+) or if chain vaping.

By the way we still have a bunch of the Chatty Chen's left....remember if you are in ALPHA you can ask for one for free. For those who are getting these are they actually charging your eGos?
Yes sir it is charging . Only problem is the voice thing. I do like the design of it though :)

You didn't post at the first of your report what product you are testing out... without that info your report is of little use.

Oh your right I'm sorry, I was replying to nightfell's question about my original review of the x6. I should have specified in that post.

Good looking unit. Although the o-ring on the top baffles me.

So far it produces great flavor and awesome vapor. As mentioned earlier the draw is airy. I would rate it a 5 on a scale of 1-10.

I think it looks good on top of the VAMO!

That does look nice. Can't wait to get home and give it a whirl. I ordered a couple of extra heads, just in case I dig it!

Finally picked up one of the big 10ml Apollo tanks as well. At that discount it is worth it's weight in parts! But the wick assembly is so bent that I can't even put the cap back on! Hopefully I can tweak it back into place. I wanted to fill it up and tell my wife I got her a new tank for her Twist (that is after it comes off the chatty charger)! Ahh, good thing she has such a great sense of humor!

I'll repeat this info for those that may have missed it before...

When charging a battery as it reaches the end of the charge... the battery will actually reach it's full voltage before its at full capacity, but it doesn't last, it drops back down... it will do this several times until it really has gotten a full charge. This is what is happening when "Chatty Chen" starts repeating.

I'd chastise the company again since they should know better... but I did that already on my first post describing the cause of the issue and I'm just pass on the info to those that missed it the first time. :D

    I knew that redsok....that's why I let her chatter, but it was more than several times so I turned her off:D

I knew you knew that... and probably knew I knew you knew it... :D

It really was for everyone else that are new to Alpha... the regulars here already read all new posts, for the most part anyway.

What are you talking about? That is why I wanted one!

And I totally dig the little music notes that are in there!

Oh, this will drive the wife crazy! Too bad about the big honking apollo tank, I think combined with the crazy charger she would think I was either a ..... or had gone mad!

Off to play with the X6!

X6 ATOMIZER

Well, it has only been a few hours, but the X6 is doing a pretty good job.

Using my DIYRY4, which is about 10/90, it is wicking very well under heavy alcohol induced chain vaping.

Flavor is good, vapor production is good as well, considering I am only running it at 4.0v (under load). I was going to play with it on the Provari, but it has the flat bottom that will not allow proper airflow. I will pump it up tomorrow once I can fish one of my flat-bottom friendly VV devices out of my wife's sleeping hands!

Looks like replacing the head may be a task, but it will be worth it if it continues to work as well as it has. Plus, it looks like the heads will be easy to rebuild, so that is a big plus.

Will give you any more input I come up with as days go by.

Oh, and the Chatty Charger is so bad it is good. Charges fine, and is boarder-line annoying as can be. The wife will love it....not really, but it will be funny to watch her react to the voice! Maybe I will disable the sound, but not until she tells me to!

Vision e-liquid...

I know I'm late on this, and I only got the menthol and chocolate, but here goes:

Chocolate - Awful. I know chocolate is not an easy one, but for me this has a huge hit of perfumey chemical nastiness, with a faint hit of chocolate on the exhale. I'm going to leave this one open for a few hours to breathe a bit, but I'm not sure even that will help. If all else fails, I'm going to try diluting it and adding some cream flavor to try and mute that initial perfume blast.

Menthol - Like others have said, this is minty, but not a pure menthol... much better than the chocolate, very fresh and cooling with a decent amount of throat hit. I'm going to try pairing it with some wild blueberry when I dilute it down (I usually vape at 12mg, and the 18 is a bit much the way I chain-vape in the evening). It kind of reminds me of a Dentyne Ice gum flavor.
